The first night, I left the product on for two hours... I had slight sensitivity the next day, but it was definitely bearable. The following night, I wore the product for nearly 5 hours (you're supposed to try to sleep with it on)... I woke up at 2 in the morning with shooting pains and felt as if a liquid fire was pouring slowly down my front teeth. The next day, I hardly spoke because of how much it hurt (it did not ache or feel sensitive, it actually hurt). I was somewhat surprised because I have had luck with Crest White strips in the past and was looking for something that would make my teeth whiter than they are. The Crest White strips did make my teeth sensitive, but I had been using them only once a day or only every other day, which provided nearly no sensitivity. I had even used the Sensodyne (my dentist recommended it before I started using NiteWhite) for a few days before starting the whitening process. I am slightly disappointed, as my teeth didn't get any whiter from using this, despite all of the other great reviews... I am thinking of getting some sort of white porcelain painted on (as both a sealant and to whiten my teeth). Will have to research into this.
