I returned to double edge shaving with a Parker 60r, and the Shark blades that came with the razor. Overall I was happy with the experience , but was having to repeatedly go over sections of my face to get the realy close shave. I felt I would try another blade after reading the reviews here on Amazon and decided to try Feather baldes. What I can say is I'm happy I did! As many other reviewers have cautioned, go slow and don't apply any real pressure, because these blades are sharp! Simply guide the razor, and let the blade do it's work.It's no big deal, just start slow, and you will see the results. This is THE blade, for me!Customer Review: Son-of-a-gun these guys are sharp!

I have mixed feelings on these blades. Have been using them for over week. The first shave with a feather blade leaves me nicked up, but the second, third, fourth and fifth shave with the blade is much better, bordering on excellent. You can easily get 7 good shaves from a single blade (I have a heavy beard).
Not sure if these will be my go to blades, for now I am sticking with 100 SHARK SUPER CHROME DOUBLE EDGE SAFETY RAZOR BLADES as my go to blades - which are sharp but not crazy.

I've been using a DE safety razor on and off for many decades. Like many I use the Feather blades in a Merkur razor, my razor is ten years old and still an amazing quality product. I bought a sample pack of many different brands. The Feather was far and away the best closest and smoothest shave. The odd minor nick if I have a careless moment does happen. But it's not a blood bath. 99.9% of the time there is nothing to notice after I take a shower. The only few time I had a bleeding nick is when I was getting to know this blade and they were minor. After trying Merkur and Derby blades, these are my favorite thus far. They give me a very close, smooth shave for 5 or 6 days verus 2-3 days on the other blades I've tried. Even though these are more expensive, I get twice the shaves, a more comfortable shave and less waste.
I use a Merkur Futur at #2 for the first few days on a new blade, then dial it up to #2.5 for the last couple days. I haven't had any more nicks with Feather than my other blades. Other items in my routine are an Omega badger brush and Taylor of Old Bond Street Avocado shaving cream.

Started shaving with these blades this week and I can say the first time I used these blades I get one of the best shaves I have ever had. For my face they are great and really sharp. No tugging or pulling, it was like a hot knife trough butter, smooth. I use an edwin jagger razor, art of shaving cream, badger hair brush, Jack Black face buff in the shower and Jack Black after shave lotion. I have noticed less irritation ever since I switched to using DE razors, but the combo of a good razor, awesome blades and superior cream makes shaving something I look forward to.
