About 6 years ago I had bad lasik surgery. Cliff notes version which I won't go into here in order to spare you, gentle reader, is that now I either have very dry or very watery eyes and if they are dry drops make most liners run and if they are watery, liner runs as well. It's either/or and a no-win situation.
I tried liners that proported to "stay put for 24 hours" and they would last maybe 2 if I was lucky.
I tried pencils, brushed inks, you name it. Waterproof liners, everything...to no avail. I want pretty eyes but I had no results.
Rewind a year ago when I was talking to someone I work with who used to work at Sephora. Not surprisingly, her makeup was flawless and perfect and her eyes stood out like crazy. I grumbled about how I wished I could achieve that.
She swore this was the ticket and that she sold gobs of it where she used to work because of being a raving fan.
I doubted her...but 6 months later I did get around to trying it.
I kid you not, this stuff STAYS PUT. And if it stays put on me, it isn't going anywhere on anyone else.
That said, her other tip was to get an angled brush that's really thin to apply it. With an angled brush your arm doesn't get in the way of applying your eyeliner. Trust me on this one even though you probably can't picture that. You can find these by googling it...the tip is at an angle. And you do want thin. But if you can't find one a straight one does fine, it's just not my preferance.
This jar will last a LOOOOOOOONG time.
NEGATIVE: I'd love for them to find a way for this stuff to work in pencil-form but the Stila pencil didn't work like this at all. In all honesty, I still like application with a pencil. The good news about it being in the smudge pot form is you can also use it for smoky eyes on an applicator. Other than that, no negs...
