Customer Review: Cheap Imitation Filters

I ordered these filters because they were represented on the Amazon site as Aprilaire and SpaceGard replacement filters with a picture showing the Aprilaire logo and a link to "other products by SpaceGard". I received the units to find that they are very cheap imitations: 23 pleats instead of 38 in the oem product and pleats held in place by flimsy cardboard that was partially crushed by the time I had received it. A totally unsatisfactory product. The shipper refused to take them back unless I pay for return shipping and a restocking fee. Bait and switch tactics at their worst! They claimed products are sold as compatible but that is not what the listing says nor is that implied by the Aprilaire logo and the link to "Other products by SpaceGard". The first mention of "compatible" was on the invoice I received with the product. Totally unsatisfactory. This company is shipping substandard product represented to be original equipment. I do not recommned purchasing anything from them.
