Customer Review: Typical 3M ripoff of the consumer

This is a typical 3M consumer product ripoff. Develop a quality product, then immediately discontinue the parts to support its function. Senior management has developed internal metrics which encourage this behavior, just like Wall Street. It's about as anti-green and environmentally unfriendly as possible. Take out of box, use until it tells you filter needs to be replaced, throw out entire unit, buy new and improved Filtrete product. I encourage any of you who live near a 3M facility to dispose of your unit on their grounds. No sense in developing industry standard replacement parts. Imagine throwing away your car every time you needed to replace the air filter.
