Customer Review: Tegaderm Vs. Bioclusive Dressings

I take the FENTANYL PAIN PATCH. There's only 2 dressing's allowed to put over the pain patch to hold it in place when it's stickiness wears off which is Johnson & Johnsons Bioclusive and/or 3m's Tegaderm. I have to do a cardio.exercise and found I can only use a recumbent bike due to my injuries and pain.
I first used Bioclusive without any problems. Amazon sells Tegaderm for a great price so I purchased it. CAUTION!!! The oxygen transfer rate for Tegaderm is LOWER than that of Bioclusive. Using Tegaderm the first time I overdosed on Fentanyl! Tegaderm did not allow oxygen and presperation to leave out from underneath the dressing or fresh oxygen to come into the dressing as rapidly as Bioclusive.
After my bike ride I looked at the dressed area and it was bright red! I ripped the dressing off along with the PAIN PATCH and got into a cold 5 minute shower. 10 minutes later I was into an overdose! Since I was 40 hours into a 72 hour patch I was able to handle the situation without 911 but it was close!
Yesterday I rode with a fan directly hitting the dressed patch and had no problems. Tegaderm is equal to Bioclusive while bathing 3 consecutive days in a row. Tegaderm is superior with the "Window Style" dressings. Those of us who have to use these products know that once the dressing hits the pain patch, you can't go backwards and usually end up with a mess, having to use multiple dressings to compensate for the accident or worse, a destroyed PAIN PATCH.
