Customer Reviews of 5-Hour EnergyCustomer Review: Great Energy! Summary: 5 StarsI love this product. I suffer with sinus problems, which depletes my energy level and this really helps to boost me up.
Customer Review: Husband's favorite energy boost Summary: 5 StarsMy husband loves this stuff. We ran out of it because I had a pending order elsewhere that fell through(they might have kept my money forever if I hadn't cancelled the backordered order), so, needless to say, I was happy to find a good price on Amazon that actually beat what I had thought was the best deal I could find. I received my product within a couple of days and am very satisfied.
Customer Review: The motivation you need Summary: 5 StarsThis product works great to give you that initial push you sometimes need to get moving without any jittery feelings or crash later. I only use 1/2 of the bottle at a time and the no refrideration needed makes it handy to keep in the car and drink on the way home from work when you have a lot you need to accomplish at home. Love it!
Customer Review: THIS STUFF REALLY WORKS! Summary: 5 StarsI was a Red Bull drinker, coffee drinker and whatever else I could get my hands on to give me the energy I so desperately needed to get through some days. Someone suggested i try this 5 hour energy and WOW! It really did work without the "drop" afterwards. I have noticed that when I take more than 3 a week I start to build up a resistance and they don't work quite as well.... but hey! That's what happens when you drink caffein too, right?
Customer Review: Strongest energy drink yet Summary: 5 StarsThis stuff is strong, so be prepared to stay awake and wired. It doesn't specify the caffeine amount, claiming it has about the same as a cup of coffee. This can't be a tall cup of Starbucks. Maybe they mean Venti. A tall Starbucks has about 270 mg of caffeine in it, and I never got this kind of buzz from a tall or grande Starbucks. This drink has a 2.1 g (2100 mg) energy blend of which caffeine is a part.
Other notable ingredients include glucuronolactone and taurine. Glucuronolactone is excellent at increasing your ability to concentrate, and taurine helps regulate your heart rate. I never experience an excelled heart rate with this product, which is definitely a plus. Furthermore, there is no sugar in it, but it does use sucralose, an artificial sweetener containing chlorine. Sucralose is the same sweetener constituting Splenda. The danger with this lies in a related sweetener termed saccharine, which is the one used in Sweet 'n Low and has been linked to tumor formation in lab rats at high doses. I'm not saying sucralose will cause cancer in you, but it doesn't help anything. Aspartame (Nutrasweet, Equal) would be far more preferable despite the more artifical taste. This drink doesn't taste that great anyways, kind of like a highly flavored medicine. It's a very small bottle, packing a large wallop. It is also pricey, so unless you need a really high level of energy, don't use this. You could also try Rockstar Zero Carb or Diet Rockstar, both of which contain ~350 mg of caffeine and no sugar (although they too use sucralose). You may enjoy their taste better, and can be bought for cheaper than 5-hour Energy.
