I just received this product and filled it, so I cannot at all speak to the long term durability. I do worry to hinges will break off, but honestly? I'll be buying this item all over again if they do!
There is definitely a degree of personal need to this, but I have had bad luck with other pill cases because many of my pills are rather large, and most only fit multiple small pills or maybe one large pill. I am able to fit several pills in each part (morning, noon, evening, bedtime). I also love that I will be able to grab one days set of pills and carry it with me to work/school!
If you take multiple larger sized pills, multiple times a day, I highly recommend this product, especially if you need to carry them with you.
If only they made ones slightly larger than these with 6 compartments the size of these 4, it would be perfect for my grandmother! (unfortunately, it seems impossible to find ANY pill organizers that have space for 6 different times for medications.)
I will say, one other downside is an issue others commented on, the lids do not open all the way making it a little difficult to fill and empty, as well, they are slightly difficult to open, particularly if you keep your nails super short.
I still give this 5 stars because for me, the benefits of this product that I have not found in any other pill organizer (and I've tried several others before this!), far outweigh the few downsides. However, as I stated, this will be an individual need. If you do not need the space, have no intention of carrying a days worth with you, or only take medication once a day, this probably is not the pill organizer for you. But if you are like me and have larger pills, you take 4 times daily, and you want to be able to carry only the pills for the day with you to work/school/et cetera, then I highly recommend trying this pill organizer!
