I still haven't been able to master how to use this device (the Fat Caliper) with any degree of consistency. I've had it about a month now. But my trainer seems to know exactly how to use it and gets accurate measurements with it each time. So apparently, once one has learned how to use it properly, it will aid quite well in measuring your body fat percentage. It's easy enough to read - but it's the actual measuring that leave a lot of room for error.Customer Review: Love It

This caliper is fantastic. I love its price & the fact that I can now measure body fat.
Keep in mind: it measures body fat. It does not help you lose body fat.
When I bought this caliper, I somehow thought I found the missing link to my weight loss strategy, but I have not lost any body fat. Even if I lose pant sizes, my body fat stays the same. This caliper is depressing to me.

This product works as described. The biggest thing with it is the learning curve for taking measurements. I would recommend playing with it & using it often in order to get the hang of it. This should be used to track progress in terms of the measurement size, rather than using the body fat chart provided. Recommended. Does what it claims. Made of hard plastic. Must take an average of 3 measurements to determine answer. Has a chart for various fat levels. Measures in inches and mm.
Recommended for the average person and weekend warrior, not for Athletes. Make sure the lever is pushed all the way to the right (high setting) then test and listen for click or you will think it doesn't work. Nice product.

Very easy to use. Once you get the hang of taking readings, you can be very precise. I haven't been measured by a professional so I don't know how accurate it is. I do recommend visiting some of the sites in other reviews and using a three location measurement technique as the included instruction card seems a bit limited.
I would consider this product an excellent value for the money!
