I stumbled across this product one night when desperately trying to find a 'cure' for yet another yeast infection that my doctor says is simply brought on by hormones every month. She said to try different kinds of acidophilus and to see which product seemed to help the most.
THIS product, (in conjunction with the pearls of the same brand) has changed my life. I went from having a yeast infection EVERY MONTH for six years (I tried changing my diet for years, taking Diflucan in massive dosages, creams and suppositories, etc., with no effect), to not having had a single one in the past four months since I've been taking this product daily (I started off by tripling my dosage, then doubling, and am now down to what the bottle recommends and still seem OK). When I was taking the massive doses, I did have to contend with "the runs" sometimes, but I finally got a dosage down that seems to work for me.
If you've struggled with irregularity (that was never a problem of mine, but this has helped my bowels with that, too), or if you have recurring yeast infections, GET THIS TODAY.

I highly recommend this for woman who suffer from BV (Bacteria Vaginosis). To clear the symptoms you must take a large dose of accuflora for a few days average 20-30 per days for 3 days then 10 a day for 5 days. Continuew to take 2 pills per days for life...Women who suffer from BV. Should limit themselves to one partner!!!! If not, use a condom!!! If you have one partner and continue to suffer from BV...TREAT YOUR PARTNER!! He would need to take accuflora in large doses as well. Taking antibotics works, but usually has to take 2 rounds of antibotics before the bateria is completely gone. However, Antibotics gives me yeast infections. So Accuflora helps treat BV and yeast infections. This has truly changed my life!!! I have suffered from this problem for over 2 years, doctors giving me antibotics after antibotic and never suggesting that I treat my partner as well! Treat your partner and yourself....but this products does work...I have taken the product and went to the doctor for a follow-up and the bacteria was no longer there!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!Customer Review: Not very potent, but worked for me (and much more effective than Beano).

These caplets contain only 0.5 billion bacteria, which isn't very much compared to something like Complete Probiotics, which has 60 billion bacteria per caplet. That's 120 times less effective. But, they're also 12 times cheaper, so the question is: how much is enough?
Well, even this weak caplet has had an astonishing impact on my gas. If I take one in the morning, I have almost no problems all day. If I don't, it can be pretty bad. I tried Beano, which had almost no effect for me. This is much more effective.
The only problem is that the effect only lasts for one day. Every day I miss, it's like I never took any. I'm thinking about buying a more potent kind to see if it lasts for longer.
So, if you have problems with gas or digestion and Beano hasn't helped, try these. They're pretty cheap, so there isn't much to lose. If they don't work, try a more potent variety of probiotics.

Probiotic Supplements, Accuflora / B000LJCOWW
I started taking these after Prevention magazine reported that overweight adults who took a probiotic supplement lost an average of 2 pounds over 12 weeks, compared with those on a placebo, in a Canadian research. I also noticed that this was highly touted as helping with digestion, which is always a good thing in my book.
I don't know how I feel about these pills, though. I wish they came in a softgel form - the pills are chalky and rough, and they smell and taste pretty bad. They are, at least, medium sized, so they aren't too tough to swallow, but they're definitely my least favorite of the morning pill routine. Also note that a "serving size" is actually two pills, not one.

Customer Review: Good for Yeast Infections but did nothing for stomach problems

Bought this over 3 weeks ago based on the comments, and the fact that having a yogurt every day is way more expensive. I have IBS (C) and suffer from constant gas and bloating. Unfortunately I haven't noted any improvement in my condition whatsoever. However, my twin sister had a yeast infection and decided to take a few capsules...she was very impressed that it helped. I've subsequently ordered the Accuflora-controlled probiotic acidophilus, which based on the comments is more suited for IBS sufferers. I clearly ordered the incorrect ones, but will continue to take these, at least until the new set arrive, and because probiotics are good for you, especially if you've taken a regiment of medication as I have over the years.
