Customer Reviews of Adagio Marketing ShowerTek WV2 The Original Fog Free Shower Mirror

Customer Review: OK for the price
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought two of these mirrors - one for each bathroom. While installing the first one the mirror broke in my husband's hands (the wand broke off the mount and could not be re-attached). The second one went on fine, but the workmanship definitely isn't of the highest quality. However, becaise of the price (this costs about a quarter of the Sharper Image version) I would buy a replacement one for my second bathroom. It does actualy remain fog free!

Customer Review: Finally .. a really fog-free mirror.
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this a few years ago and have never regretted the purchase. Every so often I need to windex the mirror surface, but it is always restored to its original spotless, fog-resistant state like it was new. The plastic water valve at the top of the armiture does take a little effort to move, but once you have it set, you don't much need to mess with it after that. The mirror needs very little water--just a trickle--to maintain the temperature behind the mirror, so you don't sacrifice any water from your nozzle.

My only complaint with this mirror is I wish I knew about it five years earlier, instead of putting up with a much lesser product for a long time.

Customer Review: Great product

My boyfriend loves this product, but will have to buy a new one. It started to wear and tear, but it is affordable to buy another one.

Customer Review: Fog free but Leaky Leaky Leaky
Summary: 3 Stars

Both of the valves on mine leaked severely right out of the box, and the way it's mounted they shoot water between the curtain and wall out onto the bathroom floor. Also if you touch the valves while water is flowing the valves tend to pop out, causing water to gush everywhere. I contacted showertek about this by email a few times and I never heard anything back from them.

I'm fixed this problem by epoxying the valves into the fixed open positions. The valves are useless anyway.

This is patented so no other manufacturer can produce a robust implementation. It does work great as a fog free mirror, and now that I've fixed the problems I'm happy with it.

Customer Review: Flimsy and leaky but works
Summary: 3 Stars

This mirror does what it is supposed to, namely stay fog free. It seems like they must have patented this design so there is no other competition.

However the construction is extremely flimsy. The gooseneck came off when I was adjusting it, requiring all the hand pressure I could deliver to push it back into place.

The big valve for adjusting shower pressure never cut off the shower no matter what position it was in, and whenever I twist it it tends to pop out, ending the shower immediately as a jet of water shoots out the side. I notice that one of the prongs that hold it in place has broken off... I'm not sure if it was delivered that way or what.

The small valve for adjusting the mirror water flow leaks tremendous amounts of water, so much that it squirts out the side of the shower between the wall and curtain, making a big mess outside the shower.

I'm a handyman type of guy and I have tried various things like adding silicone grease to the o-rings, adding ties to keep the valves in place, but nothing prevents the leaking.

If I can't get it fixed I'll probably just epoxy the valves in place so there are no leaks... the valves are useless anyway.
