Customer Reviews of Adagio Marketing ShowerTek WV2 The Original Fog Free Shower Mirror

Customer Review: Too short, valves are tricky
Summary: 2 Stars

While the basic premise of this product is flawless, that is the warm water running down the back of the mirror does indeed keep it fog free, the goose neck from the diverter to the mirror is far too short.

I am an average height man (5' 10") and it is very difficult for me to get the mirror into a position that I can really use because the goose neck is just so short. I've checked and double checked that our shower head is installed at a typical height and the mirror is still too high to be useful.

Also I have experienced the issue with the valves comming undone when you attempt to operate them, that is the valve to divert water to the mirror comes completely out of its seat if you twist just a little too far. Nothing starts the morning off right like a jet of hot water hitting the bathroom ceiling.

Customer Review: Updated Review: Going on 2 years now
Summary: 5 Stars

I leave the knobs open all the time on the mirror for two reasons 1) the amount of water running through the mirror is negligible and I barely noticed a difference in water pressure from the head and 2) they don't seem to be made that well and would likely wear out after too long.

Mirror is fog free no matter how hot the water is.

UPDATE: This thing is great. I've had it for 2+ years now and love it. The knobs still work well (an early concern) and I've had no problems with it at all. I'm not sure how you can even sell one that doesn't work this way because they DON'T WORK. The mirror has to be hot otherwise it will fog.

I would have paid double the amount now that I know it works this well.

Cheers

Customer Review: Shower Tek Mirror Leaky and Squirty
Summary: 2 Stars

[[ASIN:B000184Z1G Adagio Marketing ShowerTek WV2 The Original Fog Free Shower Mirror]
I have owned this in the past and not been satisfied, but when it was the only one available on Amazon with the features I wanted, I got it again and now it's worse than the first one I owned. The first one was only a pain to try to clean and the mirror is not receptive to normal cleaners and gets spotty. The new one has leaks at some of the connection spots and squirts out of the valve switch when the flow of water is opened to de-fog the mirror. So, great, I can shave but now either my walls, floors, or ceiling will be soaked, depending on how I position the bendable arm mount (which, again, also leaks depending on how you bend it).

Customer Review: Cost me some Coin
Summary: 4 Stars

Well I have had this product for almost 2 years. As for the Fog Free, close but not cigar. I was cleaning my bathroom the other day and notice that this mirror had some hard water spots on it. Well, I took a SOS pad and cleaned it. Well the water spots went away. But after rinsing the mirror off, I scratch the mirror all up. I still can see with it. But it not the same. But so far it the best Shower Mirror I have come across. I am buying a new one and replacing the old mirror. This time I will be more careful in how I will clean my new mirror. I would recommend this product. I also like the Razor holder in the back, but I use it for my toothbrush. So my sink stays clean. So I say buy it.

Customer Review: Fog free but Leaky Leaky Leaky
Summary: 3 Stars

Both of the valves on mine leaked severely right out of the box, and the way it's mounted they shoot water between the curtain and wall out onto the bathroom floor. Also if you touch the valves while water is flowing the valves tend to pop out, causing water to gush everywhere. I contacted showertek about this by email a few times and I never heard anything back from them.

I'm fixed this problem by epoxying the valves into the fixed open positions. The valves are useless anyway.

This is patented so no other manufacturer can produce a robust implementation. It does work great as a fog free mirror, and now that I've fixed the problems I'm happy with it.
