Customer Reviews of Adagio Marketing ShowerTek WV2 The Original Fog Free Shower MirrorCustomer Review: Really is fog free Summary: 4 StarsI like this for the fact that it really is fog free, unlike other mirrors that claim to be so. But since it's made with inexpensive plastic the seal around the connection switch leaks when the shower is on. That's not so bad though, the water has to run out of the bottom of the mirror anyway, I just wish it didn't splatter so much.
Customer Review: works but poor design and quality Summary: 3 Starsthis is my third Showertek. I have tried the fog-free mirrors with coatings but, the Showertek's water-on-the-back-mirror is the only one that works.
However, the Showertek's water valve leaks and goose-neck looses strength and with my hard water affects the mirror's reflective coating. So I end up getting a new unit every three years
So go for the lowest price you can find since this is not a long lived product in hard water.
Customer Review: Too short, valves are tricky Summary: 2 StarsWhile the basic premise of this product is flawless, that is the warm water running down the back of the mirror does indeed keep it fog free, the goose neck from the diverter to the mirror is far too short.
I am an average height man (5' 10") and it is very difficult for me to get the mirror into a position that I can really use because the goose neck is just so short. I've checked and double checked that our shower head is installed at a typical height and the mirror is still too high to be useful.
Also I have experienced the issue with the valves comming undone when you attempt to operate them, that is the valve to divert water to the mirror comes completely out of its seat if you twist just a little too far. Nothing starts the morning off right like a jet of hot water hitting the bathroom ceiling.
Customer Review: If you have hard water forget it! Summary: 2 StarsIf you have hard water the life span of your ShowerTek Fog Free mirror is a few months. The unit leaks so much water that you'll get hard water stains all over the mirror and in the drain hole in back. You'll need to use CLR or other cleaning products designed to remove hard water to get the mirror cleaned up enough for you to be able to see it (as if fogging up isn't bad enough).
If ShowerTek could redesign this so that the water circulates and goes back into the shower head instead of all over the mirror it would get 4 stars from me. Until then the next best solution is to buy a water softener...
Customer Review: Works good for a while. Summary: 3 StarsMine worked well for a few months, then started leaking very badly, and then stopped working. I thought it was very shoddy workmanship and design, TBH. I tried a radio/fogless mirror combination and it was even worse, lasting only a few weeks before it was no long fogless, and wasn't usable. I might try another one of these that hook to the showerhead, hoping I can get one that "last years" like some of the other reviewers have maintained.
