Customer Reviews of Adagio Marketing ShowerTek WV2 The Original Fog Free Shower Mirror

Customer Review: Too short, valves are tricky
Summary: 2 Stars

While the basic premise of this product is flawless, that is the warm water running down the back of the mirror does indeed keep it fog free, the goose neck from the diverter to the mirror is far too short.

I am an average height man (5' 10") and it is very difficult for me to get the mirror into a position that I can really use because the goose neck is just so short. I've checked and double checked that our shower head is installed at a typical height and the mirror is still too high to be useful.

Also I have experienced the issue with the valves comming undone when you attempt to operate them, that is the valve to divert water to the mirror comes completely out of its seat if you twist just a little too far. Nothing starts the morning off right like a jet of hot water hitting the bathroom ceiling.

Customer Review: If you have hard water forget it!
Summary: 2 Stars

If you have hard water the life span of your ShowerTek Fog Free mirror is a few months. The unit leaks so much water that you'll get hard water stains all over the mirror and in the drain hole in back. You'll need to use CLR or other cleaning products designed to remove hard water to get the mirror cleaned up enough for you to be able to see it (as if fogging up isn't bad enough).

If ShowerTek could redesign this so that the water circulates and goes back into the shower head instead of all over the mirror it would get 4 stars from me. Until then the next best solution is to buy a water softener...

Customer Review: Works good for a while.
Summary: 3 Stars

Mine worked well for a few months, then started leaking very badly, and then stopped working. I thought it was very shoddy workmanship and design, TBH. I tried a radio/fogless mirror combination and it was even worse, lasting only a few weeks before it was no long fogless, and wasn't usable. I might try another one of these that hook to the showerhead, hoping I can get one that "last years" like some of the other reviewers have maintained.

Customer Review: Product Great - Service & Delivery leaves a lot to question
Summary: 5 Stars

The product was great. It is the second one I've purchased. The first one was at least ten years ago. I bought it in Montreal for $19.95.
The second one cost me $19.95 plus $20.00 for delivery and another $19.00 and change C.O.D. at the door for brokerage fees. This was after waiting a month for the delivery due to a misunderstanding and a lost email reply concerning the inability to deliver/ship to a post office box. I live 2 minutes from the post office in a small town and every knows everybody. I felt gouged by this practice and will hesitate long before ever purchasing anything through Amazon.
Thanks for asking

Customer Review: You have better options
Summary: 2 Stars

Shaving in the shower is something I've been doing for many years, and I think it's the only way to go. You can stand up straight and really get your face wet and soapy.

For many years, I have used a very cheap suction cup fog free mirror. I'm sure I've used mirrors costing less than $10, that have lasted for years.

I have always wanted one of these mirrors with the circulating water. Now, my current apartment has a shower stall where the surface is not compatible with a suction cup, so I bought this one.

The product works pretty much as advertised, however, I have two criticisms:

1) The plastic piping is very weak. It doesn't support the mirror in the exact position I want, but, it's workable. I wonder how long it will last before it leaks, comes apart, or becomes even weaker and I have to adjust to it, rather than it adjusting to me.

2) It needs a LOT of water to be fog-free. I really don't like wasting water, and this bothers me. The water that circulates through the mirror just spits out the bottom, and is wasted.
