Customer Reviews of Adovia Natural Dead Sea Mud Soap - Great for Eczema, Psoriasis or Acne!

Customer Review: Clean as a whistle!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this product after reading all of the reviews and I must say that I am glad i did! I initially was looking for a sulfur bar soap but came across this. I wanted to wait a while before posting my review and after almost two months I am happy with the product. I knew my face looked different but after slacking in my routine of cleaning my face before bed for a few weeks my blackheads had come back...all my blemishes had disappeared while using this but during my slacking the clogged pores started to create large under the skin bumps.. but now after a week of continued use once again they are gone!! I have recommended this product over and over and I will continue to use it. I see the difference in my skin and I have had many others comment and ask what I use for my flawless skin and they are shocked that I don't say its a foundation but a face wash!! Thank you Adovia for an awesome product!!

Customer Review: Supersoap
Summary: 5 Stars

This is great stuff, but a little drying. I am 23, and am gradually growing out of horrible teen acne. This has helped finish off those last stubborn blemishes. I would not classify it as an acne soap per-say, unless you have extremely oily skin, in which case the drying effect would help (it isn't terrible, nothing a good moisturizer can't fix), but seems like a great maintenance soap. It does clarify the skin, and it helps cell-turnover (which again, can be drying, but is not a bad thing). I don't notice a smell at all, and it is exfoliating. Something else that is quite nice about it is it doesn't "melt" in the shower like a glycerin soap would. All in all, a great soap, and worth a try for at least moderate acne, or those who wish to clarify their complexions after having battled the teen-scourge longer than their time.

Customer Review: Tried but no improvement for me
Summary: 2 Stars

I tried this because of the good reviews, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. It felt good when I was soaping the affected areas, but there was no improvement. I think at this point my skin is too bad to be healed by anything short of perhaps biologicals, but I won't use them - too risky.

Someone commented, requesting the number of times I used this product before throwing in the towel. I don't know how many times I used it, but I used up the entire bar of soap - so many, many times. Every time I showered I used this soap til it was gone. Unfortunately, the usual remedies haven't worked this time - not sunshine, corticosteroid products, etc... Unfortunately we're coming up on winter again, which is so harsh on skin anyway, but particularly those of us with skin ailments. Brrrrr......

Customer Review: Best soap ever
Summary: 5 Stars

I never use soap on my face, because it can clog pores and dry skin at the same time. I have combination skin and mild/moderate acne (I'm 35). This soap is fantastic! If you think about the price in terms of replacing a bottle of cleanser, it really isn't too bad. A little goes a long way. Now the primary reason I bought it was for my daughter's eczema, and though it didn't cure her, it may have improved her condition and definitely hasn't had the negative effect that most soaps do. Save yourself the effort and money - order a couple bars right off the bat. Plus, it takes care of those little bumps some kids get on their cheeks in cold, dry weather! You won't be disappointed. Do be careful on storing your Adovia though - don't leave it in the shower to melt.

Customer Review: Love this soap! . . . BUT WHAT'S WITH THE NEW PRICE?
Summary: 4 Stars

I love how this soap feels just barely exfoliating, but gentle enough to use every day, and leaves absolutely no residue on my skin. My skin feels sooooo clean and looks so good that I've even started going a few places without makeup. And it's on the cheaper side for good skin care. Definitely recommend.

UPDATE 10/28/10: What the heck?! This soap used to cost $6.99 and now it's $25!!! I don't think so. I'll go back to Cetaphil.
UPDATE 11/9/10: Now it's back to $7.99. That's more like it. Just be aware that Amazon has been toying with the prices on a lot of items lately. If an item becomes at all popular, they jack up the price . . . apparently until people complain.
