Customer Review: Works Well at Keeping you Well...Our Personal Experiences
Summary: 5 Stars

A doctor perceiving "Echinacea" can perform over "Airborne" does not suprise me, but the facts are "Echinacea" has been proven to be: USELESS. A doctor perceiving cheaper forms of vitamins are available is technically correct; however: formulation is EVERYTHING and most vitamins esp. cheaper ones will not be absorbed at even a fraction of the dosage recommended.
I do wholeheartedly concur that being low in Zinc can and will contribute to illness, both viral and bacterial.
For those who have "taken Airborne and still gotten ill", every situation is different...I would contend if one's husband has a very nasty cold, "Airborne" was not formulated to protect you from your dear hubby's viral and/or bacterial infection if dear hubby continues close quarters with you upon onset of his infection. Common sense must prevail in all instances.
My family of three has taken "Airborne" for over three years with great success and yet we each experience the product differently: I actually take at least one "Airborne" a day FOR the Zinc and Potassium and Manganese, etc., because I am disabled by CFS with Fibromyalgia and I find without question the product helps me with my "muscle management" without the side effects I experience from vitamins. There'a a reason the product is a bit pricey: it's formulated for immediate absorption and that is a beautiful thing -- you are definitely getting your money's worth, especially when price is compared to prescription antibiotics. Honestly, when I have taken it every three hours I did experience some, shall we say, gastrointestinal effects -- but that is MY system. I guess I "stumbled" across this product and use it for myself for over-all maintenance.
For my husband, I have seen him take it every 3 hours several times and experience no discomfort whatsoever and remain well.
For my son, he likes to take it ("Airborne") several times a day and experiences no gastrointestinal effects.

Regarding the statement in a review that linked vitamin C to oxidation and cancer, if that is an accurate statement backed by fact it would have to be mega-doses of Vit. C, mega-mega doses. Vitamin C is water soluble, meaning excess will be excreted by your body.

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being Best, "Airborne" is a 10+ and I am so grateful to find it at Amazon.com at such a reasonable price.

So, there you have it: I use it for maintenance, as does the rest of my family. Yes, I HAVE witnessed situations where we have to take it exactly as recommended to "ward off" illness and overwhelmingly we have far less rate of illness -- hats of to the creator of this product.

Customer Review: A doctors opinion
Summary: 1 Stars

Quickly and succinctly, unless you are deficient in zinc (which this product provides), it will not help you overcome or prevent an infection. Fluids are always helpful, however even if you believe huge doses of vitamin C are helpful, you can buy these and zinc for much cheaper. Echinacea may be helpful in transiently boosting your immune system, and I at times take this in the form of a capsule or tea. All in all, this product is overpriced, and essentially useless. Sorry to burst any bubbles, and the whole school teacher thing is a bunch of bs.

Customer Review: One of the biggest scams on earth
Summary: 1 Stars

Oprah promoted this stuff just like she promoted "A Million Little Pieces" and it's just as much of a scam. I used this stuff religiously for months and months while I kept getting sick and it did *nothing*. I continued to get sick, and worse, the ridiculous amount of herbs and vitamins in here gave me an upset stomach and diarrhea. I stuck with it though, truly believing it would help. It tastes awful and has no scientific evidence for actually curing anything. Cold-Eeze works, plain and simple. This stuff - with all of its hype - does not. Also note, the amount of Vitamin C in here is actually dangerous. Taking over 500 mg of C in 1 day actually CAUSES oxidation and cancer - it doesn't act as an anti-viral. Do I wish I had the marketing genius to perpetuate such a ridiculous product and become a muli-millionaire? Yes. However, I have slightly more ethics than this "school teacher" who created this thing.
