Customer Review: Lives up to the claim "Cold Remedy"

I remember the feeling of certain doom when my throat would get just scratchy enough that I knew I'd be down for a week. And I knew I was 90% there when I heard enough coughing in class or in the office.
Now I take airborne, only when I have reason to (travel, sick family member, onset of symptoms), and it really does work. I can survive a long plane flight into a New England winter, concluding with an hour long taxi journey, with a driver experiencing significant and contagious respiratory distress -- and walk away healthy. I've sometimes been unable to get more Airborne until having come down with a cold, and it still mitigates the severity and duration of the symptoms.
I find it most effective in combination with Zicam products (the gel in particular). The instructions say to dissolve Airborne in water; I prefer it dissolved in apple juice.
I still believe that stress is a dominant risk factor regarding colds (with sleep, diet, and climate close behind), and you can't choose not to give your body the rest it demands because you can take Airborne. However, when you are doing the best you can, Airborne does seem to really make the difference between catching a bad cold and just needing to take it easy for a day.
Customer Review: Excess Vitimin C

There are a lot of good comments out there about the fact that you never know if this thing works or not. Some have compared the ingredients to a multi-vitimin and commented that the only real difference is the excess of vitimin C. I do know that your body can only absorb so much of a vitimin. In the case of C, a doctor on the Today show (specialist) said that 400mg was the most your body would absorb per day. So 1000mg? Pretty much a waste. O.D.ing on the other vitimins I imagine would yield similar waste results. So why pay such a high price??? The only ingredient in Airborne I can't account for is the herbs, those aren't in my multivitimin. Can't say I know much about those, could they be the difference?
I took Airborn apparently successfully over the holidays (cold went away before it developed). I'm taking it again now and we'll have to wait and see. But I don't take it every 3 hours for the reasons stated. I think 2 a day is PLENTY. Even if I get marginal results from this, I would probably continue to take it. But what will drive me away is the extreme markup on the price, which is way out of line.

I'm a 48yo male with young children that bring home colds all the time. I experimented with zicam and airborne. My cold pattern goes like this - starts with my throat, then nasal, then ear and chest (cough). Whenever I use the airborne immediately upon the first symtom (throat tickles or mildly sore), the cold has never escalated. My dosage is 2 per day. One at first sign, then one in morning and one at night until throat iritation goes away (3 days). When I'm out of airborne, I get sick - real sore throat then nasal. Once I get sick, airborne does not work for me. I then use zicam. Zicam is harsh on my nose but so far (1 yr), I've never had a cold escalate to my chest, i.e. no coughing. Before, the cough could last up to 2 months. So I'm happy with this combination. I also take airborne when I'm going to a place where there is a lot of sick people coughing all over the place (i.e. the fitness center). So far, that has worked well. About zicam. For me, it never worked as a preventitive. But once I got sick, it stopped the cold from escalting. Hope this review helps someone.Customer Review: Will Stop Colds Dead In Their Tracks!

I love this product, it really does work! We've used this product repeatedly when the first sign of a cold developed and it completely stopped more onset of symptoms! I wouldn't say the taste is delicious, but it's drinkable... My kids don't enjoy the flavor, but are willing to squint their eyes and tighten their lips and gulp. On the other hand, I'd rather know that I have a secret weapon for myself to use then I'm feeling a cold come on because we all know, Mom's can't get sick. We keep a tube at home in the medicine chest and another tube in our travel bag. We travel alot and stay in hotels, so knowing how many germs remain after the cleaning lady tidies your room from the last guest and then spritzes her spray bottle of "room freshner" to help give you a false sense of CLEAN, we'll count on souping up with Airborne if the noses start running. With all natural ingredients and an antioxidant boost, it's a no brainer to have this product on hand at all times! I highly recommend this product, it's safe, inexpensive, conveniently packaged, and IT WORKS!

Airborn works! I was skeptical until my neice told me about it. I have to be very careful what I put in my body as I take medicine for very bad skipped heart beats, but I can take this without any problems, but always be careful and ask your Doctor too if you can take this.
I take this whenever I feel something coming on, or when I think I have been exposed to anything.
I also give this to my 10 year old and it has saved him from three times this year from a sinus infection and countless other times for other ailments. Ask me I know because last year he was on antibiotics four times because of sinus infections and this saved him this year from all of them!
This works very well for keeping colds away and other stuff away, but the only thing it didn't work for us for is strep throat. But we take it when we think we may be getting it, as it seemed to lessen the symtoms, they weren't as severe.
I will always take airborn and keep a nice stock in the medicine cabinet.
