This is the first product that actually delivers on its promise -- it stops your cold in its tracks before it gets to be a full blown pain. I have avoided at least a dozen bouts with this great product and won't let my supply deplete when it's low. Just take one tablet dissolved completely in a small glass of cold water, and repeat a few times in one day. You will notice the difference right away! You MUST take it at the very first sign of the sniffles, even if it's a sneeze and tickle in your throat, don't wait. Take the tablets for one full day to allow them to really do the trick; pretty much you'll be guaranteed to rid yourself of the oncoming cold. The taste is great too -- just like orange TANG. The lemon/lime one doesn't appeal to me because it reminded me of Alka Seltzer, so I stick to the original flavor. The easy to carry cylinder makes it an easy item to carry with you during the day. I was sick for 2 & 1/2 weeks with the worse cold I ever had (I even got the flu, in the middle of it). With my Job, I can't work when I am sick...
My friend told me about Airborne Effervescent Tablets and I tried it.... WOW within 15 mins my nose stopped running and within an hour I blew for the last time. "I used up 5 big boxes of puffs in 2 & 1/2 weeks... Wow!
I took it 3 times a day... "I read it wrong"... but within 2 days I was COMPLETELY WELL!
My son took it saturday night and by the next morning... he was over his sickness, but he took in on the onset of a cold...
My husband took it after a day of feeling bad and within 3 days he was better... wishes he would of taken it at onset...
I have told everyone about this... one friend took it on Thursday night (coughing, blowing the works) and by Sunday she was in church with NO sickness...
GREAT STUFF... Will keep it in the Med. cabinet!
Customer Review: Disappointing results and a little scary . . .

I recently took Airborne when I was feeling a cold coming on AND had to board a plane for a business trip several days later.
The cold had moved to my chest before I left on my trip and I didn't feel any better for over a week.
The scary part for me is that this stuff does not easily clean out of a glass. I have one glass that I ran through the dishwasher 6 times and there is still residue from this stuff. It has taken an immense amount of scrubbing to get this stuff off of my glasses. I am always leery about putting something in my body that doesn't come off a dish washed in super hot water with serious detergent!
Regarding the other comments about the amount of vitamins in the tablets. Extended use of large quantities of vitamin C have been linked to kidney damage - so I would be extremely cautious of taking this for longer than a couple of days . . .

It seems to work pretty well. And it's not true, as some reviewers have claimed, that it just contains vitamins and echinacea; Amazon lists 7 herbs in the ingredients.
But there are no details regarding why these 7 herbs were chosen over all the other available ones. There's no explanation for why the product contains mineral oil, what kind of mineral oil it is, and what the effects of the mineral oil are. And the maker's own website gives fewer details than Amazon, even failing to list the 7 herbs. A "Next" button, which I expected to give further details, took me straight to a shopping cart.
Finally, why is the fact that the formula was created by a second grade teacher considered an advertisement? I can understand that she may prefer not to catch colds, but where did she get her knowledge of healthcare and herbs, etc.?

I took these tablets for more than 6 months as I have persistent cold during winter months but, it made no difference. Would have spent atleast $100.00 on this. I tried exprimenting how long my cold lasts with and without airborne. Everytime, it took the same amount of time doesnt matter whether I took airborne or not. At best, it is a very expensive effervescent drink.
Also, be careful with the vitamin C dosage you are getting (one tablet contains more than 1600% of your recommended daily value) and most probably you are taking more than one tablet as recommended by the manufacturer. Such high dosage may result in diarrhea and kidney stones. You can read its effect by simply doing a "goole" search on side-effects of taking high dosage of vitamin C.
Better to be safe than sorry and BTW, it is not cheap either.
