Customer Reviews of Airborne Effervescent Health Formula, Original Orange, 10 Tablets (Pack of 3)

Customer Review: Don't Ever Stop Making This!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a registered nurse and instruct adult nursing students on a high school campus. My 100+ students are under tremendous stress that decreases their immune systems, making them susceptible to the cesspool of germs in their surroundings. A day doesn't go by that I don't have some student sneezing, coughing, or blowing their nose. They must keep up with required attendance, which motivates them to come to school when they should really be home. I've started using Airborne at the first sign of a sniffle, or that subtle head congestion indicating more to come. I honestly feel I've avoided at least two colds over the last few weeks, alone, by using Airborne. I won't be without this product again! These people might just have found how to prevent the common cold!

Customer Review: vitamin a toxicity
Summary: 2 Stars

I'm not sure if this helped with my cold or not. Started taking it as soon as I felt a scratchy throat. That progressed to viral bronchitis and a full blown cold. (I have been sick all winter - newly around school age kids, go figure.) On top of that, I noticed about three days after I started taking it, I developed angular cheilitis, or cracked corners of my mouth. In the past, this indicated a vitamin deficiency for me. I did some research and realized that this is related to too much vitamin A. I was taking four or five tablets a day (one every three hours, as the label says), along with my normal multi. Whoa! Too risky. Please watch out for other signs of vitamin A toxicity. Tolerance seems to vary between individuals.

Customer Review: Great bet for beating colds
Summary: 5 Stars

I used to use Airborne to combat colds after they started--which cut down on the length and intensity of the cold.

However, now I'm a nanny for 3 kids, all of whom were in the local Nutcracker performance. Days on end of intense/extended rehearsals and performances left all the kids tired. By the end of it all, there wasn't one kid who hadn't run a fever at some point. Now, a week later, all of the adults who spent time with them are ALL sick. I took Airborne a couple times a day, everyday during all of this. I never once had the slightest hint of a cold. I'm completely convinced!!

If you're going to be in a situation that's destined to be germ infested, this is your best bet to keeping healthy!

Customer Review: This product really works
Summary: 5 Stars

What can cure or knock down the common cold? I was so skeptical about Airborne working as advertised, but when my husband and I tried it, we got results. Routinely one of us would catch something if we traveled on an airplane. Now, if we have to travel by airplane, we just use it, no matter what, and we aren't sick any more. Surprising to me was that if you take it at the first sign of congestion and continue to take it as directed, it will significantly reduce symptoms quickly, and at times I have had all symptoms disappear within a day. For me it really depends upon how quickly I start taking it after developing congestion. It is a particularly good buy when Amazon runs this three packet at $9.99 or $10.99.

Customer Review: Zicam may possibly destroy your sense of smell
Summary: 5 Stars

Seeing other people mention Zicam I feel compelled to mention there are many lawsuits now alleging it can destroy your sense of smell. In particular, the Zicam gel. Maybe you want to read up on this yourself before deciding whether to use it.

And now for my review of Airborne. I'm giving it 5 stars because it does seem to do something. But it could just be my imagination? Before I heard of Airborne last week I would take an antihistamine at the first sign of getting a cold and that seemed to have the same effect (actually I did that this time as well, oops).

It would be nice to see a few double-blind studies done. It's so popular it's a little surprising there are none already.
