Customer Review: Questionable Accuracy, $20 calibration cost

First, to the point, everything seems to work fine when it arrives, but it costs $20 TO CALIBRATE the device. You cannot self-calibrate the device. That said, I did what anyone would do, drank my face off. After 10-12 shots, 6 beers and 2 godfathers, i waited half an hour and blew a .06! The device claimed I was legal to drive and I could barely see straight. Is it worth 20 dollars to calibrate a device i got on the cheap? Not really.Customer Review: I like it

I have been very satisfied with my breathalyzer purchase. Every use produced consistent and believable results. My only issue is with the start button, pressing the recessed button starts the acclimation timer however further depression of the button is required to properly turn it on. If you press the button and start the timer and the unit turns off after releasing the button you just need to press the button further down.Customer Review: Well Made

Very well made & does not take long to boot up & only have to blow into it for 5 seconds... Comes in a nice travel case to store in glove compartment ... Comes with extra plastic mouthpieces ... I just wash the same one... Waste of money to throw away the mouthpiece everytime you use one... Gives a clear accurate reading ... AlcoHawk Pro: Professional Edition Digital Alcohol Detector
This Alcohol detector works very well; its fast & simple to use , It also comes with a nice carrying case for the car or boat.
So far I found it works well and is worth the $$$. Just wait 20 Mins after your last drink & you will know if you should or should not be on the road or on the water. I'm happy to have it.

I purchased the AlcoHawk Pro Breathalyzer from Amazon.com after searching the internet for the best breatalyzer. This one is the most recent and best available one on the market, even in use by some policemen. At Amazon.com I found it at about half price of what the other websites sold it for. It is brand new and works wonderfully. I will continue to buy from Amazon.com for best value on many items!
