Customer Review: Amazing effective probiotic

I was given a sample of this product by my gastro in response to an over two month ordeal with what was tagged as a "post-infectious IBS".
I tried it with a lot of skepticism as prior to receiving the sample I tried a number of probiotic products - pills, fortified yoghurt etc. and none seem to have been making noticeable difference.
Align started working almost immediately - on day two and three the most bothersome symptoms - pain, urgency, bloating were significantly diminished, the intestinal noises subsided. I'm now into the third week of using it and I'm feeling almost back to normal - the improvement is noticeable and consistent. I just ordered a full bottle to continue the treatment.
One downside is that it seems to be creating some bloating but I found a way around it and take it at night.
I can now eat normal foods after being on a yoghurt and banana diet for weeks and I feel like I got my life back.
Love it and recommend it to anyone with digestive problems.

I had been using Digestive Advantage IBS for about 5 years when my local pharmacy changed hands and stopped carrying it,and I was off it about a month before they started carrying this Align product. I had heard so much about it recently that I decided to give it a try despite it being almost $30 for a month supply as opposed to $25 for 3+ months of the Digestive Advantage stuff. In the end that really doesn't matter if it works, but it didn't. By the time I went on it I had a severe recurrence of my IBS symptoms (in fact *every* symptom that Align is supposed to treat). I didn't expect immediate results having been off a probiotic for a month, but after a week I only saw a slight decrease in the amount of gas, bloating, and pain I was experiencing. After a month I broke down and ordered a big box of Digestive Advantage IBS from amazon, because though Align did reduce my symptoms by about 50% that just wasn't enough to justify spending more money on a product that worked less for me.Customer Review: Did not work for me

I tried this product for 4 months, which was 3 months too long. I kept expecting my digestive system to begin working smoothly again, however it made me even more irregular than usual. I am an active woman, I eat right and exercise daily. I am not overweight nor do I have IBS or any other bowel or intestinal problem that I know of. Not pooping for 3 days is not healthy. What goes in should come out within 12 to 24 hours. I was very dissapointed that this product didn't work but only seemed to make it worse. I am glad it works for most people, but if you do not see results within a few weeks, don't waste your money. Every body is different and requires different probiotics to work. I'm going back to what I used to use when I was regular and that is fermenting my own Kombucha and drinking it on a daily basis. I know it works to keep the flora of the intestine in balance. I just got lazy, or busy and stopped brewing it a few years ago. Its easy and very, very good for you.Customer Review: Makes you go NOW!

I bought this to help supplement with my daily Nexium. The Nexium was working pretty good but I still had some issues that I thought might be helped by using this product. I started to take Align every morning around the time I ate breakfast, sometimes before and sometimes after.
The problem is Align made me have to "go" within 10 minutes of taking it. I had little to no control as to whether I wanted to "go" or not. It also loosened my stool and made everything extremely uncomfortable. I know the package said that this stuff might go away after a week or two, but after 7 days I could not take it anymore. I had less control any time during the day and when I had to "go" there was little time to think about it and it never was normal or regular.
Align might work for some people and possibly could have worked if I stuck it out for a couple more weeks but i just couldn't keep it up. This product made my everyday tasks much harder.

I stuck with this product for 4 months! It did not resolve my digestive problems. The only thing it seemed to help, was a scary weird pain went away. Other pains, gas, IBS-D, rumblings, etc., persisted. I decided that 4 months was long enough & discontinued my usage. I feel my money is being wasted. A concern I've had the entire time I've been using it is the adding of dyes in the pills. Dyes can negatively affect the digestive system & I cannot understand why they are put in/on the pills. If it works for you then that's great & you are really lucky. So far I'm still searching for the right product. Since we are all different with different needs I cannot say that you should not try this product. I just want to voice that it was not effective for me. If you problems are severe you may want to look into the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. It is a diet for intestinal healing. I wish you all the best of luck!
