I purchased the product through Amazon because of free shipping and a competetive price. This was prescribed by my gastroenterologist for IBS. Align contains a specific strain of Bifidobacterium infantis, often called Bifantis for short. As far as probitoics for the GI tract goes, bifantis has the most evidence to support its consumption for IBS, irritable bowel syndrome. I have not used it on a daily basis. Anecdotally, it seems to help prevent bloating on some days and not on others. Diet probably has a lot to do with this. I give it a 4 because it does not prevent bloating every day. To be scientific about this, I should probably keep a daily log.
I would certainly recommend this product and buy it through Amazon as long as it is the same price that I paid for.

After suffering from IBS-D and many food allergies I had become quite dependent on both Tagamet and Imodium. My doctor was horrified when I told her how much of them that I needed to get through a day. I had tried several pro-biotics and hadn't had much luck. Had pretty much decided that they wouldn't change anything. But Align was the one for me. I can't remember the last time I have needed either Tagamet or Imodium. The change is amazing. I think anyone suffering from IBS of any kind should give any of the pro-biotics a chance. Try one and then another because you have to find the right one for you, but when you do, the change is remarkable. I no longer am worried about what I eat or where I am when I eat it. My only complaint is with the price. The cost starts to add up.Customer Review: But what if they never get there!

I have been health conscious all of my adult life and was always searching for good pro-biotics. Finally I've found "Bio-Beads".
Bio-Beads are triple coated, so there is no exemption on the label as to the strength "at the manufacturer". However, Bio-Beads stay strong and protected until needed.
Most Pro-Biotics lose potency in shipping and storage thru oxidation. They are then attacked by your stomach's hydrochloric acid barrier when taken. Bio-Beads are coated in three ways to get them into your intestines and then open them up and do their work.
I have been a terminal cancer patient for ten years and have been very pleased. 90 are under $20, so they're inexpensive too!

My doctor suggested that I try Align for the stomach discomfort I was having. I was constantly feeling bloated, having a lot of gas, and other discomforts that go along with the digestive system not working properly. I have been taking Align for about 5 or 6 months, and it has really helped. I don't have the bloated feeling or the gas since I found this great product. Being regular has also improved. I was glad to find it at Amazon. I checked it thoroughly at Amazon until I found the best price. I order it (28-count box) through the subscribe and save every month and I don't think you'll find it cheaper anywhere else. I searched everywhere before getting it through Amazon. I'm a chronic IBS-C sufferer. The kind of person who would not be able to go for a week and then have an extreme urgent need to go usually due to a huge meal, greasy meal, or any other type of meal trigger. There was always painful cramping during these episodes and then the cycle would start again. I've tried fiber, yogurt, timed bathroom schedules etc. but none of it worked. Food-wise I'm a pretty healthy eater (I actually do like fruits and vegetables) so I knew that was not the issue. It just makes you go with less issues. So if you have similar symptoms, then give Align a try. You will be bloated a bit for the first week or two but things will settle down. Align is not perfect since it does make you gassy. But to go more regularly is great!
