You will lose weight with this (assuming you eat sensibly). I lost 20 pounds on my own with just dieting and exercise, but after that it became really difficult to get my weight to change. I would fluctuate 2-3 pounds every week, maintaining the 20 pound loss. Only two weeks on Alli and I've broken the plateau and hit an all time low. As for the side effects, well the talk about "oily spotting" is definitely true. It's not explosive diarhea or anything. I've noticed that I get a whole lot more gas when on this pill. The thing is that you won't know whether it's gas or a small "oil bomb." I've trained a number of people over the years and have designed all types of customized meal plans for them. The fact of the matter is that even with such personalized attention, discipline, and focus, you always end up hitting a wall. I've recommended Alli to a few of my clients because it is FDA approved. Although they were skeptical in the beginning, they have become the biggest proponents of Alli. It's not a metabolism booster or stimulant like Hydroxycut or those other "diet pills" on the market that give you the jitters or keep you jacked up on caffeine. It will absorb 25% of the fat in your meals and help you lose about 50% more weight than you would lose on your own. If you eat more than 15g of fat per meal, you'll get sick. So it teaches you what your limits are. You must remember that it is a tool to use alongside a regular diet and exercise regimen. Good Luck!

I have been using Alli for about 8 months and have lost around 45 lbs, but the best thing I like about Alli is that it makes you conscience of what you put in your mouth. I'm a member of the "tried it all" club. I have no idea how much money I've spent over the years trying to lose weight. I started using Alli on January 16, after a visit from my doctor. I have now lost 23 pounds, and I have even cheated pretty often - due to graduations, birthdays, etc. I just get right back on the wagon. It's actually hard to get negative results with Alli - I could not be happier with the product. And oh, yes, what you read about the "effects" can be true - but the good news is that you learn through better habits that you are in control of that aspect, too. Amazon rocks with the Alli prices - I've done the research -get it here because you won't find it for less, especially with the free shipping. Alli and Amazon have been a powerful tool for me in my quest to lose weight, finally.
