I have never been a heavy person, but after a long illness, I gained about fify pounds. I started using Alli approximately one year ago. I followed the program, excercising, eating right, and taking Alli. I have not only lost the fifty pounds, but a few extra. I have learned to eat a healthy diet and to continue excercising. My experience on Alli has been great. I've been using it since Nov 2007 and have reached my goal weight. The side effects mentioned by some haven't effected me therefore I have to wonder if the people who have experience discharge, etc were actually following the diet plan or if they continued to eat high fat diets? I love this stuff, and I have not had any bad experiences with any bad side effects (oily discharge, etc.) This product is great, just when you think you might have blown your diet, Alli is there to save the day and get you back on track. I had extreme pain in my abdomen for the three days I took this product. I followed the diet, even did better than its daily fat recommendations, but still nonstop discomfort and agony. I would recommend anything else to try and lose weight, especially a cheaper option that won't make you feel like your intestines are on fire.Customer Review: alli capsules--starter pack

This starter pack is great for helping to get on the way to a healthy diet. The orlistat capsules themselves won't cause weight loss, but together with a healthy diet, and a bit of exercise, it seems to be making a difference. The starter pack has lots of information packed into the small pocket or purse-sized books.
