Customer Review: DGP Ingredients do have side effects
Summary: 1 Stars

Please be aware that DGP and American Bio American Biosciences
Are not being entirely truthful about DGP

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); fast heartbeat.

Boswellia Side Effects - Dogs
Side effects from the use of boswellia are rare. Still they do happen from time to time. Symptoms to watch out for
Diarrhea;
Stomach discomfort;
Stomach pain;
Swollen skin;
Rashes;
Difficulty in breathing.

After DGP was recommended to me I read all the excellent testimonials, called the company and had spoken to my vets it was thought ok to try my 9 year old male Boxer on DGP. He had severe reactions to the DGP but it took a few days for the symptoms to show. At first he was doing well with no signs of a problem but at around day 4 - 5 the problems increased on the sixth day he vomited up the tablets he was given on day 5. No further tablets where given after vomiting. Previously he had a 4 day trial run about 12 days prior with a vet exam on the morning of day 7, he seemed to be doing well.

My Pups story is long and painful and I want you to be more vigilant than I was. I believed "we" had all our bases covered and did not take the time to individually read up on side effects on the different Herbs in DGP - They Do Exist. - even if difficult to find Literature at first -

- Problems that occurred where
- Lethargy
- Breathing issues - severe lasting days even after treatment had stopped
- Swallowing issues - unable to drink water for days.
- Vomiting - which I have already mentioned
- Excessive Salivation.

Customer Review: Dog Gone Pain Works!
Summary: 5 Stars

Hogan, our 11 year old Chocolate Lab, suffers from arthritis and general weakening of his joints. We were already giving him aspirin twice a day and glucosamine. His condition was steadily worsening. We had tried other pain/inflamation remedies with no improvement. We came across Dog Gone Pain on the internet and figured we had nothing to lose. We ordered it and checked with our vet who gave us the okay to try it out.

We started giving him Dog Gone Pain approximately a year ago, at first we started with the recommended dosage three pills a day (he's a big boy, 90 pounds)and saw a little improvement. We contacted American Bioscience and they recommended adding a fourth pill a day. The extra pill did the trick and in a very short time, Hogan's spirits and agility improved. He was able to trot after the ball and began wrestling with Kiki, our 3 year old lab-border collie again. He isn't the puppy he once was, but he is absolutely enjoying himself more now. I'm also thrilled to report that the his improvement has remained consistent, Dog Gone Pain really works!

Customer Review: DGP=Dog Gone Phenomenal !
Summary: 5 Stars

OK--I was skeptical. Read many reviews. Was sure they were not valid, but ordered a bottle anyway. History--8 year old German Shepherd. Recently neutered. Would not/could not get up. Something very wrong with his hindquarters--mind you absolutely NO symptoms prior to neuter. He was in pain and depressed. X-rays showed arthritis, spondylosis. Must have been there prior to surgery, but no symptoms at all. Tried Metacam, Tramadol, Prednisone. Once all of these were completed, then decided to get out the bottle of DGP I ordered. I should not have waited for so long!!! I have my "old" dog back!!! Has been on it for 4 days. Remarkable difference. I am so relieved and happy. I have felt such guilt for having him neutered. Do not do this to an older dog!!!! I don't care what anyone says! Too much of a shock to the system. Hugely stressed that he would not last much longer. We've gone from normal to depressed and won't get up, back to 85-90% normal again. Highly recommend. If he has to be on this the rest of his life, I am OK with that. Thank heaven for DGP!!!

Customer Review: great supplement
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used DGP with several of my dogs ( hard working Golden Retrievers) over the years ranging in ages 7 to 14 years old. All of these dogs have had arthritis related to age/activity, in other words NOT early onset DJD such as mild to severe hip or elbow dysplasia. I have found DPG to be a wonderful addition to my dogs dietary plan, not only have they stopped limping but they have acted younger, mental attitude has been improved and I have had my "puppy" back. When I first tried DGP I did not tell my husband, I wanted to see if he noticed any difference in our 7 year old who had arthritis in her carpal joints both front pasterns. After about week of being on DGP Gidget was much more animated and just happier, and yes my husband did notice! I was sold and from that point forward DGP has always been my first line of defense with my older dogs if they begin to limp. I have noticed though that with some dogs such as my 10 year old male I have also needed to add additional Glucosamine to achieve best results.

Customer Review: Not what I ordered
Summary: 1 Stars

I have been using DGP for several years for my dog who is in severe pain because of a congenital abnormality in her hind leg. It helps her immensely. The stuff that this company is now calling DGP (ImmPower) isn't DGP, and has nothing to do with DGP, or dogs, or pain. It is a bunch of mushrooms for people. The bottle isn't even what is shown in the picture (which is the real DGP bottle).

I ordered some DGP for my dog, and was sent the stuff they are trying to palm off as DGP. Now I must locate another seller and order...in the meantime, I have just run out of DGP and my dog will have nothing to help her until another order can be delivered. Please, if you are trying to get DGP, this company is no longer selling it...but something they are calling AMERICAN BIOSCIENCES (IMMPOWER) DGP. No DGP, not for dogs, not in the bottle that is shown. I'm completely disgusted with their false advertising, and terribly upset for my dog.
