I was very septical at first. I saw the Neti Pot for the first time on the Oprah Winfrey show. I have seasonal allergies that I developed as an adult. After many tests I learned I was allergic to all things environmental. Certain trees, grass, mold, dust, pollen, perfum, etc. I've used Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec, Benadryl, etc. And all have had some side effects, the most important one on my wallet
I've found that I have gotten natural relief through the daily cleaning out my sinuses. And it feels great not to need a pill to breathe. Who knew cleaning my nose with warm water and a little salt was the solution. The drug companies know and would rather us use their products than this inexpensive natural way.
I recommend this to anyone suffering from allergies. It is odd at first, but you'll get used to it and your body will thank you.

I bought this item thinking I would just give it a try, but not expecting it to work. I love it and now I don't know what I did without it. I don't know why to so many of us it makes more sense to pop an allergy or cold pill before trying a non-medicinal method. Just think about all the junk that your body has to deal with everyday from pollution to household dust. Just look at your windows!
I find it best to use the Neti pot in the shower standing up, just as part of my daily return with warm water. I do suffer from occasional allergies, and this helps a lot. I started using the Neti before the winter and I have gone the entire winter without catching a single cold. I don't use any special salt, just non-iodized salt from the grocery store for .75 cents. Last forever. No need to spend extra money on fancy salts.

I'm a chronic allergy suffer that uses Allegra D and Rhinocort AQ spray. Not only does this product help with immediate congestion relief, it's so effective that using it every 2 weeks to once a month could eliminate the need to take ANY allergy medicines. I've cut back my use of meds about 75%. There's a technique to using it, just don't give up after the first or second time. Yes it will feel uncomfortable, but you have to remember to breathe through your mouth. AND you should blow your nose (one nostril at a time) immediately after using it. Within 10 minutes, you'll notice a completely clear feeling. This is a great investment for allergy suffers who would rather not take meds or who need immediate relief on bad hay fever days.Customer Review: Great.. I tried this a couple of times as I was getting over a cold, despite my initial thoughts of, "Who puts water up their noses? That's just stupid." But, several friends recommended it and I saw all the glowing reviews for it, and there were even comments from doctors saying it was OK. Well, when I used it, the water would not drain out the other nostril no matter what I tried. Maybe I have a deviated septum? If so, there should be a warning to people who do, because it gave me a horrible sinus infection. This also happened to a friend of mine, too. He even got it to drain out the other side and also wound up with a horrible sinus infection. I can't say why, other than maybe I should have listened to my initial instincts and not used it.Customer Review: I like it

I wasn't really sure about buying this. I thought people were crazy for using a neti pot. It definately feels weird but if you do it correctly it does clear up your sinuses. I don't use it on a regular basis (usually because I forget). But when I remember or start getting sinus headaches I use it and it makes the headaches go away. It takes a little bit to get the right head tilt and height. Make sure you google how to use a neti pot. There is a website that tells you how to and if certain things happen what your doing right or wrong. It also tells what salts to use, don't bother buying the special salts just use sea salts and then you can grind it fine. A couple of friends have neti pots and they swear by them.
