I researched the neti pot before deciding to buy one. My husband has worse allergies than me, so I thought I would get one for him first. He uses it once a day and it really does the trick. It took about 2-3 uses before finding a comfortable position/temperature of the water. It is wonderful and better than cold medication or prescription drugs. Great for season sinus problems and the start of congestion.
I then bought one for myself after his success and I don't know why I waited so long. The claims on Oprah and the internet are true. Give it a try. I recommend this to anyone trying to stay away from presciptions and medications or for those who just want to take better care of themselves.

This is the first neti pot I have owned. I have sinus issues which have increased with my current pregnancy; because I am pregnant, I am trying not to take any medicine. I bought this pot after painstakingly poring over reviews on Amazon, and was not disappointed. It is a well-made, sturdy pot which even makes a nice bathroom decoration. :) I read some of poor reviews, and it seems that those people are reviewing the process of nasal irrigation, not this product. I wanted an affordable ceramic neti pot (not plastic) and this one is just fine. The process does take a little getting used to (my husband tried it and is not a fan) but, it has helped me when I get stuffy and don't want to take medicine.Customer Review: A miracle for me!

I may be one of the few who used this neti pot prior to the Oprah show. I have suffered many years with chronic sinusitis and have used more antibiotics than I care to remember. Once I began using neti cleansing, I was amazed at how it kept me nasal passages clear. At the onset of a previous sinus infection, I was told about neti and used it a few times a day at first and never needed antibiotics to clear it up. I also take this neti pot with me whenever I travel.
For those who have trouble getting the saline through the nasal passages in the morning due to congestion, try taking a hot shower first. This tends to open the passages somewhat and allows the saline to flow freely.

I bought one of these for myself and one for my daughter. It works well once you find the correct position to hold your head. Non idodized salt stirred well in warm water was very effective for opening up my nose with my recent cold. I also have allergies and it helps with that. I like the ceramic because it can be cleansed in the dishwasher and has a smooth tip so that it does not irritate your nose. The water pours out gently and does not run out of the pot due to the lip at the spout end. I had one that was plastic by saltaire that did not work well at all and I could not reach the company on the phone to complain. I purchased this neti pot mostly because the plastic one I had kept scratching my nose. I was a little hesitant since the shape is different. If anything this works better than the more traditional shaped pots. More of the water/saline comes out of the pot without having to drastically tip the pot, which can be difficult with the other versions. If you've never used a neti pot and suffer from sinus trouble, I highly reccomment this. I use it once or twice a week and feel the improvement for at least a couple of days. As someone with ongoing sinus trouble, it's nice to have an option that isn't OTC decongestants.
