I bought this after my wife watched it on Oprah. She suggested that I researched something called "Nose Bidet". I decided to try it since Claritin and Claritin-D seems to be not as effective for me anymore. It works great for me. My sneezing has reduced substantially. Even my co-workers noticed it. I also bought NeilMed prepackage saline solution and also tried non-iodized salt. The non-iodized salt works just fine and there is no reason to go more expensive route. A quarter teaspoon of salt plus water (about 8oz) and then nuke it for 20 to 30 seconds (depending on the power of your microwave).Customer Review: No genies from this lamp...only boogers.

The first time I used this, the feeling of water going through my sinuses was a little disconcerting. But after you get used to the unusual feeling the first time you use it, it isn't hard to be comfortable with it.
I bought this mainly to flush out my sinuses after I mow the lawn. I usually have pollen/dust in my nose for hours after mowing the lawn, even after showering - but not anymore. Now after mowing the lawn or raking leaves, I'll run this through the ol' schnoz and it's like I didn't even do yard work; no allergies, no runny nose, just total nasal goodness.

I was a little worried at first because I didn't know what to look for in a neti pot. When I found this one it looked good but I wasn't sure. Here's the deal though it's ceramic and dishwasher safe. The spout has good pressure. It has a lip on it so that the water stays inside the pot. It fits easily into the hand. And the opening is a good size. I've got a pretty average sized nose. If you have a tiny tiny nose you may want to research for a neti pot with a smaller opening.
All in all this is a great neti pot! I absolutely love it. I would recommend this to any of my friends.

I have been sick all week fighting a cold and now pollen is in the southern air. After hearing and seeing the Neti Pot on all the TV shows for the last year I finally bought one (this one) and paid extra to have it shipped the next day. I had it in less than 24 hours (thanks Amazon!). I cannot believe how much better I felt after one use. I thought it would be gross and difficult doing this....not at all, and to me it's easier than using the nasal sprays and the results are much better. I've used the Neti Pot 3 times today, each time feeling better after each use. I can breathe!Customer Review: I can breathe again!

I was very hesitant about using this pot. The thought of pouring water into my nose wasn't too appealing. I take 3 allergy meds a day, plus use a humidifer at night. I still wake up congested.
So, I gave this a try, it really is quite easy to use - just follow the picture and read the instructions thoroughly. The 1st time I used it, I did it in front of the bathroom mirror. It was a little strange seeing water coming out of the other nostril. Have lots of tissues available. I found it very helpful when I had a head cold.
I CAN BREATHE AGAIN!
