Customer Review: Works well, but a little noisy

I have an American cocker spaniel with a skin condition that requires me to clip his hair very short and shampoo him weekly. Using the Andis clipper with the blade set it comes with is ideal to get a close cut. I haven't used any of the snap-on comb attachments. I like that the blade is detachable so that I can clean out hair accumulation. Based upon reviews I read, I expected the clipper to operate quietly; however, I am disappointed that the motor is noisier than a cheaper Wahl clipper I previously used. Maybe it's noisier because the motor is more powerful?

Oster A5 blades are also interchangeable. It has a quiet, powerful rotary motor that is maintenance free The kit includes four snap-on comb attachments in sizes: 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" . The blades are detachable for ease of changing and cleaning. The clipper is equipped with AG blade size 10 blade (Medium cut for general close clipping). It features break resistant housing, and is contoured to fit your hand It is designed and manufactured for years of reliable use.
