I was a professional dog groomer for many years and always used the high end Oster clippers. I needed something ASAP to groom my 3 Shih Tzu, did not have the money for the clippers I wanted (Oster A-5), so "settled" for the Andi's 21420. Was a little sluggish compared to the A-5, didn't exactly go through the hair like a knife through butter, but did a very adequate job! I guess the proof will be in how long they last as compared with the 12-15 years of my previous clippers.Customer Review: Great for Cocker Spaniel

I bought this less then a month ago and used it on my two dogs. It worked great on the Cocker Spaniel. She looks like we got her proffessionally groomed. Then we used it on our Bischon/king charles spaniel mix. His hair is softer and just different and it was a little more difficult. The trimmer never got hot or clogged. Both dogs got groomed and the first haircut session for them basically paid for the trimmer and shipping. I look forward to using them again in 6 weeks.Customer Review: Good dog clippers

7pc Pro Pet Animal Clipper Kit Model 21420
I have a standard poodle and purchased the Andis Clipper to eliminate costly grooming and it has. I have used the clipper twice and am very pleased with it. It runs quietly and as long as your dog has no mats or knots, it will clip quickly. The only real problem I have is with the comb attachments; they tend to come off during use. For the price this is probably the best clipper around.

the clippers work fabluously on my long-haired cat; we can now peacefully co-exist in this heat. i took him once to the groomer's to see how they do it and from there i've been able shave him. the clippers are relatively lightweight. if you are shaving multiple cats, you will have to let the clippers cool in between. great investment and you will make back your money with one shaving and the cat is sooo happy without the fur.Customer Review: Good clippers for the money

I started to get the higher priced clippers, but I'm glad I went with these. I have 2 collies that I shave once a year and didn't want to spend a bunch of money. I also bought the #7 Skip Tooth blade to cut through the under coat per the Andis customer service reps. suggestion. It's still a tough job, but beats spending 60 or 70 bucks at the groomer per dog not to mention the pain of transporting 2 large dogs there and back.
