It is the first time that we own a puppy (a cockapoo) and also the first time we tried to cut our puppy's hair by ourself in order to save money. The DVD comes with the clipper kit provides us with sufficient instructions we need and the whole process went through smoothly. The attachment combs give us enough options to cut our puppy's hair to the desired length. The motor is strong enough to cut the hair without any glitch and it is quiet as well. Same as the previous reviewer, we did not have any trouble to cut facial hair.Customer Review: easy to use, saves me money at the groomer!

This works great on my toy poodle, who is particularly fussy about holding still for grooming. The kit comes with several sized blades, scissors, oil and cleaning brush in a handy-dandy little case. It's great for in-between touch ups for my toy poodle, and trimming the small face has not been difficult. I'll still take her to the groomer every few months to get her anal glands, nails clipped, and ears cleaned. This clipper has even worked to cut my husband's hair twice now, though he's not as fussy as the poodle. :)Customer Review: Nice clipper kit at a very good price

This is my first clipper. I've purchased it to trim my westie pup. The quality of the product is very good, the idea of fitting all in a portable case is smart. The clipper itself works very smooth, although my pup finds it a little bit noisy. We had to "convince" him to stay for the grooming. The kit contains also a very practical DVD showing you some basic trimming techniques.
I would recommend this product for regular trimming requirements. Professional grooming is still recommended at certain intervals though.

I am VERY HAPPY that I purchased this product....for me, it has worked as advertised, I had NEVER groomed a dog in my life.....BUT using this, I slowly but surely have learned how to do my Toy Poodle the way I like - which is NOT like a show Poodle cut at all. I leave the hair on his legs long and clipper his body hair down short when it is not Winter - use scissors alot too. My investment in this Andis Clipper Set has saved me alot of money this past year or so....hightly recommend!Customer Review: Don't Buy

I was very disappointed with the clippers. I have a Cairn Terrier and the clippers barely worked the first time I tried to groom him. I watched the video again and read the instructions to make sure I was doing everything properly...apparently the only thing I did wrong was waste my money on the clippers. I tried clipping him again and the clippers didn't cut anything! I waited too long to try them and can't return them. Now I have to spend MORE money taking him to the groomers!
