Customer Review: Excellent tool for novice groomer!

I purchased this clipper for our young Shihtzu/Bichon. I had very little grooming experience, but for the price of one professional grooming, I thought I'd take a chance on purchasing this product to give it a try for myself. The clipper trimmed her fluffy hair effortlessly. It does get warm after a few minutes, so it would definitely be best to start with the belly/paws where you need to cut without the combs. The warmth isn't a problem when you're trimming with the combs, so I didn't have to break to allow the trimmer to cool. I would recommend this product--overall, and excellent value if you're willing to spend the time and clean up the mess from your home grooming experience. Customer Review: Pretty darn good for the price I paid.

I have a Himalayian cat whose fur had gotten way too long (I admit, I let it go this time). I was sick of paying the $60+ at the groomer's every 3 months, so I bought the clippers kit to try it out. What did I have to lose, right? It took some time... I was grateful the kit came w/scissors - they worked great. So, I trimmed him w/the scissors first, and then over the course of a few days shaved him w/the clippers. Obviously he doesn't look as good as after a trip to the groomer's, but I'm happy w/my purchase. I actually look forward to being able to keep up w/his fur every month or so, so it'll be much easier.Customer Review: My Poodle is Looking GOOD!

I am VERY HAPPY that I purchased this product....for me, it has worked as advertised, I had NEVER groomed a dog in my life.....BUT using this, I slowly but surely have learned how to do my Toy Poodle the way I like - which is NOT like a show Poodle cut at all. I leave the hair on his legs long and clipper his body hair down short when it is not Winter - use scissors alot too. My investment in this Andis Clipper Set has saved me alot of money this past year or so....hightly recommend!Customer Review: Horrible product

DO NOT (seriously) buy this product for trimming cats. It is just as bad as the $10 Oster hair trimmer i once bought at a thrift store. On my cat, it just combed her hair with only cutting little tiny bit, hardly anything. It would probably take about 2-1/2 hours to finish a small cat w/ this machine, like w/ the $10 Oster. Buy another one that mentions cats in the review. Customer Review: no LED lights as stated
