i have never been very focused on doing my hair, but after trying a straightening iron for the first time before a wedding i was so impressed with the results that i couldn't resist. the price is right, and this model has all the features of a more costly iron. other reviews mentioned that the ceramic plates' coating wears over time and i can already see that this will be so, but for $15 this is ok, i'll probably get another one eventually. it you will use it daily, i would recommend a more expensive iron. if it's just for fun, it's great. easy to use and made my hair so shinyCustomer Review: Great Product A Must Buy!!!

I bought this flat iron, because I wanted to replace my conair that I relieved as a gift a few years ago. I had used it a couple of times, and had given up on getting straight hair since it took 5 times over the same strand of hair to get it somewhat straight, leaving it dry and frizzy. As soon as I got this iron, I was amazed. I only had to pull it lightly over each strand of hair once, leaving it SUPER straight, smooth, and shiny. It only took me ten minutes to straighten all my hair (it is relatively short). This should be sold for much more than $17.00, it's a steal!Customer Review: Excellent Item!

I recently purchased a 2in Revlon flat iron for the same price and it was useless. It wouldn't grip my hair without pinching both ends of the iron, it took forever to heat up and then you had to be very careful not to burn yourself. I was frustrated. I decided to search on here and discovered this product and I am thrilled with it! It grips hair perfectly, thick but sleek body protects your hands from the heat and heats up very quickly! Plus, you can use it on damp hair! I would recommend this over anything you can purchase at your local retailers.Customer Review: Smooth and soft hair!

This is the best straightener I've ever used--and you can't beat the price either! I have coarse hair that is part wavy, part curly and part straight and is also fairly frizzy. This works like a dream. My hair is so soft, smooth and shiny after I use it (no more waves or frizz). I started using it two weeks ago and every day someone new tells me how good my hair looks. Andis makes a much better straighener than Conair (my Conair was a piece of junk that didn't do anything for my hair). I am the wash and go type but wanted to get the sleek salon look for the holiday parties. I achieved it with this Andis flat iron. I have never owned a flat iron before but this was easy to operate. I set it at "10" and it got hot quickly. From there it was just taking small sections of hair at a time to straighten. It took me about 20 mins or so from start to finish and I was very happy with the results. The price of the iron is less than half of what it would cost you to get your hair done at a salon. So, this iron is definitely a steal.
