Even though it's cheap, you get more than what you paid for. Your able to use the flat iron IMMEDIATELY. Plug it in, get your hair supplies out, or brush your teeth and whallah! It's Straightening time.
I have tight curls and cut my hair really short, so my original flat iron wasn't really straightening my roots. With the Andis Flat iron I can finish my entire hair in 10 minutes leaving the hair sleek and sexy.
The iron gets REALLY HOT so be careful, ESPECIALLY around foreheads and children.

What can I say--this iron does it's job. I had never used a flat iron before and I regret that because I didn't know how glossy and beautiful it can make your hair. My hair was healthy and shiny before (shamelss plug - Redken shampoo!) but this gives me a whole new look and I love it! (FYI- am a Caucasian women with wavy medium to thick hair.)
Highly recommended! I'm glad I didn't buy the $50+ models to do the same exact thing this one does. I can't speak to longevity because I just got it last week, but so far-so good!

I have never had a straightener before. I have always wanted one, but didnt think it was worth $[...]. So when I got a gift card for Amazon.com I thought at least if I didnt like it, I wasn't out anything. Plus the reviews said it was a good product.
I was surprised. I really like it. I have Asian hair and so straightening isnt what i bought it for. I wanted to use it to make waves and stuff... and it does! And it holds in a curl FAR LONGER than a traditional curling iron. I am surprised and very happy! Hurray for me!

I love my Andis Flat Iron! I initially bought it on Amazon, but I found it much cheaper at Wal-Mart and I cancelled my Amazon order (Sorry Amazon!) Anyway, it heats up fast and straightens my wavy, coarse, and fizzy hair nicely. I do have to run it over my hair several times to get it smooth. The only negative is that the some styling products I use on my hair before I straighten it are permanently burned on to the iron. Soap and scraping wouldn't get the stuff off. This product is really good for the price it is sold for. I had never bought straigner this cheap before and i must say it will work for me for a wile. I liked how it heated up really quick and how fast i was able to do my hair. I have very volumemized wavy beach hair and it surprice me how i didnt need to go over my hair so many times.. In some parts i only needed to go thru it once and in some other parts i went over my hair twice. i would reccoment this product if you dont have the money to spend alot.
