I have used this product in three different homes over approximately 25 years.It was originally recommended by a physician to help with a child's allergy issues. It was effective and helped the rest of the family with allergy symptoms. It also kept the house remarkably dust free. Now, the children are all gone and we still would not be without these. Our house is clean, when pollen or ragweed are prevalent the house is a refuge, and we are very happy we've continued with these filters. They are easy to replace, last longer than the six months some advocate to change, and are not expensive. I think they've actually declined in price over the years but I'm not that certain. I ordered the replacement filters from this vendor for my Aprilaire system back in 2009 and was happy to have found a convenient supply of Aprilaire filters online.
I finally got around to opening my most recent package of filters for an order that I placed in November of 2010 and was extremely disappointed to find two pre-assembled generic filters. These filters are not Aprilaire filters. I agree with a previous reviewer: I will not be using this vendor on Amazon for filters ever again.

This filter two pack is the perfect answer to the Space-Gard replacement filter. This was the first time I had ordered filters online but I was unhappy with other replacements that I had purchased in the past because they didn't fit well and were expensive. These fit perfectly with no gaps anywhere (as if they were custom made)and the price was better than I was able to find in any store. Of course ordering through Amazon is always the way to go. You can NOT beat the price of this item. The fact that it comes in a 2/pack is awesome. I have seen this exact same item priced for almost TWICE THE PRICE, in fact, my Plumbing/Heating company told me that if I bought this from them, they would have to charge me a lot more. That is why I searched for it on Amazon, and I'm happy I did. In this economy, savings is EVERYTHING.
EASY to install, works wonderfully, and the price, UNBEATABLE!

I have purchased filters for the aprilaire filter system in our new home locally before but the packaging was different (maybe a different manufacturer?). This filter had very clear instructions. I could've used that the first time I changed it after moving into a home that had the aprilaire filter system. Very easy product to install and came with stickers to mark the next change date on the cover.
