Customer Review: Lightweight and very absorbent.

These are great lightweight towels that actually feel like real towels (unlike the camping sponge or felt ones). They fold up and take little room, so you can stack a few in the back of your car, or in your bag to take to the beach. I have them in all the colours.
This towel is offered in Aquis' original fabric - Lisse Crepe. The red is only available in sizes L & XL.
Update (Sept 1, 2010):
These red towels BLEED from being over-dyed. Multiple washings are needed to rinse out the extra dye. This is not a towel to be used right out of the packet. The other colours are much better (dark blue bleeds a little too, but clears up by the second wash). After the extra dye has been washed out, the towel does not look faded or worn.
If there is a need to use the towel right out of the packet, then I would recommend the white & pastel colours that this towel also comes in. The fabric is described as Lisse Crepe under the other listings.

I bought this to try it out based on a friend's recommendation. Previously I'd always packed a couple old ratty towels with the dog's stuff before heading to the lake or the beach. Now I only need one towel and it dries like you'd never believe. I have a 65 pound dog that loves the water. I make him shake the water off himself (a trick as important as sit or lay down when you have a dog this big) then I towel him dry in less than a minute. I now own 3 of these towels and have purchased them for just about anyone I know with a dog that gets wet. We live in Seattle so not only are we surrounded by lakes other bodies of water, but we have rainy winters. Having one of these towels hanging behind the door with the coats was a god send this winter as well. I can't speak enough praise about this towel. Though a $30 pricetag for a meer towel could seem daunting, believe me when I tell you this is worth it. You'll end up buying two.Customer Review: Very nice and efficient towel

This towel is a nice weight and a perfect size for my big ol' mutt. I can cover her entire length and therefore give myself an advantage to win the battle of whether I can dry her before she really wants to dry herself (by minimizing splatter from that shaking as I dry her).
While this is a sizeable towel, putting a clip in the long-side middle allows me to hang on a peg to be ready for action at the door.
This washes up nicely - but you really want to be sure to wash alone the first couple of times.
I just now checked the current price on this and there is a special going on. I think I'm going to get a couple more as gifts for my dog-owning children. I just hope they aren't looking here and see my review!

This towel is identical except in color to the Aquis extra-large towel sold as a human bath towel. (I bought mine for human use because I liked the color better than the official human ones.) It packs much smaller than an ordinary beach towel, yet is more absorbant. It also dries much quicker than a cotton terry towel, and doesn't get smelly as quickly. It is great for travel or the gym. It is not as soft or luxurient as an ordinary towel so I do not use it for regular home use. One caution about the red color: Make sure you wash the towel separately for three or four times as the red color does run. I haven't had this trouble with the other colors.Customer Review: Soaks it up!

I have a microfiber towel I take with me when camping and when I saw this on Amazon, I thought what a great idea! I have 3 big dogs and this towel will dry off all 3 after a trip to the park ( I don't think I could get all 3 if I were drying them off from a full blown bath). Very absorbent and I had no problems with the dye coming off. After a trip to dog park, I would typically use a towel for each dog. Just from the perspecitive of less stuff to lug and then wash, I love this! If you have dogs, this is a great item.
