Customer Review: Not for me!
Summary: 2 Stars

I give it two stars only because the service I received was prompt and well documented. But the pillow itself has now rendered me unable to move properly.

I woke up in the middle of the night on the first night I used it with a searing pain shooting down my shoulder. Now, I have chronic neck and shoulder issues anyway, (hence the purchase of this pillow to begin with,) but this was completely off the scale. I was unable to drop my head, turn my head to the right or raise my right arm above the level of my shoulder. I tried it again last night using the other, slightly less supportive side and was fine as long as I did *not move* from my back. Once I was on my side, everything hurt. Sorry, but I just don't sleep like that... I roll and shift positions and and my pillow needs to shift with me. This is only a useful product if you are strictly a back sleeper and do not move. If you are more active, this is not the product for you. Alas, these are unreturnable due to hygiene reasons, so do your homeowork and try one out, if possible, *before* you buy it.

Customer Review: It works for me, and I'm a side-sleeper.
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this pillow after about two months of severe pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulders, with associated headache. I knew it was a muscular strain, so I had begun some yoga, moist heat compresses and other similar things to work out the tightness. But it was at night, when I thought I'd get relief, that it sometimes got worse.

This pillow absolutely lived up to my expectations based on the product description. As noted in other reviews, it took two or three nights to adjust to the shape, but now it is the ONLY pillow I years of always combining two different pillows in some way. I do sleep on my side, and so I lay my cheek on the edge of the pillow and after a little wiggling the support feels just right. During periods of severe pain, I lie on my back in middle of the pillow and that feels great....it really helps.

Everyone's body is different.....this worked for me, and would definitely recommend trying it.

Customer Review: Really helps
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a tough customer. I have a neck that's always painful and occasionally really locks up on me. I've tried a lot of pillows ... pillows in triangle shapes, pillows that look like some sort of weird torture device, pillows that are spheres, foam "contour" pillows .. meh, never anything super great. So - I bought this on a whim, wanted to try something new to go along with a new cervical traction device, and didn't expect much.

It is a great pillow. If you're looking for something to help out a stiff neck, this is really a good option. One particular thing I like: the other kind of pillow that I've found works well is a cervical "neck roll" type pillow. But, it's really easy to roll off of in the middle of the night. This one really cradles you and helps you stay in place. Highly recommend. I've only been using it for a few days and have seen a noticeable improvement in the quality of my sleep ... and that, for me, is really saying something.

Customer Review: Expensive, but worth it.
Summary: 4 Stars

I've had this pillow for about 2 months now, and I wake up with less muscle tension. I am a back/side sleeper, and it gives very good support both ways. I had no trouble adjusting to it and I was able to sleep through the first night with it. (I am 5'2")
I have a reverse curvature in my neck. I have tried NUMEROUS pillows. I have an excellant chiropractor, do neck exercises ("Treat Your Own Neck", by Robert McKenzie), and I also own the McKenzie Neck Roll. I try to avoid inflammatory-type foods.
On those days when the pain is worsened, it's usually because I've skipped my neck exercises. At that point, the McKenzie neck roll is more effective at relieving pain/restoring proper curvature than is this pillow. But you can't sleep on your side with just the neck roll.
Overall, this is a great pillow. But since you're reading this... I suggest you be proactive about your health, and don't expect just one product to cure your ills.

Customer Review: Pain-free all day!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been dealing with back and neck pain for 10+ years. My x-rays show a complete loss in the curvature of my neck, a permanent head tilt, and a curvature in my spine to compensate for my head tilt. I've been to the chiropractor again and again, tried roll pillows under my neck at night (so uncomfortable) and popped tons of advil. Minimal relief.

Then I ordered this pillow. The first night I used it I woke up the next morning with much less pain than usual. The next night I slept soundly and had even less pain in the morning. I have been using this pillow every night for three weeks now, and I wake up feeling great. The best part is, my neck is still okay by the end of the day! The pain stays at bay.

Sure the pillow takes a little getting used to, you can't move around much, but I am willing to sacrifice rolling around in bed at night for a pain free tomorrow!

This is the money well spent!
