Customer Review: Probably better than normal deodorant, but not really "natural"

Pros: Others have mentioned that it's maybe not totally natural, but it does seem like it has fewer potentially harmful chemicals than normal deodorant, and no artificial colors, fragrances, and things like that. Although this is the unscented variety, it has a very light but pleasant citrus scent that comes from real essential oils. It works well for me and feels like normal deodorant, not gooey or distracting in any way.
Cons: After a few days I developed a light rash and slight burning sensation when I put it on. I think it was probably a reaction to the high PH since it uses baking soda as a main ingredient. Keep this in mind if you have sensitive skin. Since I like it otherwise, I started putting the stick under running water for a second before applying to dilute it and lower the PH a little. That worked and I have no more problems.
Based on a quick search, most of the not so natural ingredients seem fairly harmless except triclosan, which potentially has a wide range of ill effects. Without diving into scientific papers, it's impossible to know whether the level in this deodorant could cause any problems. I will probably just use up what I have and keep looking for something better.
