A card shuffler is a wonderful thing to have, I would never be without one again. We owned a 7 year old card shuffler that we loved and gave many to friends as a gift. This shuffler we bought as a gift, but were very disappointed to see how it worked. First it is extremely noisy, cannot carry on a conversation while shuffling. Secondly, the card tray is difficult to pull out over the shuffle button. If you are willing to spend more on an awesome shuffler, I would recommend Excalibur. They have a deluxe edition that has wooden sides. It is heavy weight, smooth and quiet. It's a pure joy to operate.
