My brother and I were in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and used another spray insect repellent at first, and it stopped the mosquitoes and some other insects, but not the nasty little black flies that were eating us up. I bought the Avon Skin-So-Soft spray (with Picaridin) at the Fort Wilkins gift shop, we sprayed it on, and instantaneously the black flies ceased to be a problem. It also kept off all the mosquitoes and others that the other spray countered. I was (and am) impressed.Customer Review: Best Bug Spray Around

Everywhere I have lived for the past 30 years has been insect heaven -- the coastal South and a Caribbean island. I've tried every insect repellant made and have found this spray to have the best combination of effectiveness and wearability. I buy it in bulk and keep it on hand for my family and all our guests. I even use it with confidence on my small grandchildren. And the prices on Amazon are the best I've found.Customer Review: What was the promo?

When I came across this purchase, I thought it may had been a mistake. I searched high and low to find out what the promo was prior to placing an order.
There was no documentation anywhere explaining what the promo was, nor has Avon communicated what the promo was intended to be. Can someone ... Amazon ... Avon ... customers ... explain what the promo was?

My husband and I own and boat and spend much of the summer out at the lake. We have used many bug repellent products over the years but this one seems to work the best and has the least amount of scent. We use 3+ cans per year but it allows us to enjoy the outdoors without paying for it the next day in bug bites. Other boaters have borrowed ours and are now using it as well. Extremely disappointed that a company as well known as Avon would advertise a promotion, then after receiving my order, cancel it. Does Avon not have the same obligation to honor their offerings as other reputable businesses? It is quite clear that customer satisfaction is no longer part of Avon's philosophy. This transaction made me extremely hesitant to purchase from them in the future.
