The replacement filters for the American Standard units work very well but can be a challenge to assemble (I've done it numerous times and get a little better each time). They trap incredible amounts of dirt and dust and last easily the six months they are targeted for. The internet allows the user to purchase the filter packs at less than half what the A/C contractors charge when they come out to do the service so I use them to keep the overall cost of service and maintenence as low as possible.
Very good product, for those able to put the filters into the frames. Otherwise, let the HVAC service men do it for you.

Up to twenty times more effective than ordinary fiberglass filters. High efficiency filter media collects small dust particles before they can collect on your coils.
