Customer Reviews of BSN N.O.-Xplode Extreme Pre-Training Performance Igniter, Fruit Punch 2.25 lb (1025 g)

Customer Review: "Don't take it unless you're serious, man."
Summary: 5 Stars

The first time I encountered NO-Xplode was in a GNC when I was looking at all the new supplements that had sprung up while I was busy getting out of shape. I'd read nothing about it, and asked the clerk what it was. He looked me up and down and said, "Don't take it unless you're serious, man." I wasn't serious at that time, so I didn't buy it.
A couple of years later, I had been training diligently for over a year and was looking at a short term membership at a new gym. I was only going to be in town for a month, so the owner gave me two options: $5 a day, or free 30-day membership if I bought more then $30 worth of supplements from their supplies. Option #2 sounded great, and I spotted a jar (tub? container?) of NO-Xplode (fruit punch flavor). "How about this stuff?" I asked. "Don't take it unless you're serious, man," he answered. So I bought it. They were right.
First: pay attention to the timing of the usage, 2 hours after meals and wait for the powder to fully dissolve and settle, it's a little carbonated and ignoring either of these conditions can cause some stomach problems. But it is the best pre-workout supplement I have ever tried, and I keep coming back to it. 3 months on, one off. It's worth the money, I call it my "Popeye Juice." Instant pump, great workouts, added stamina, and by golly, increased strength. I haven't tried the other flavors, but the fruit punch is very tasty, kind of like a sweet-tart. Non-hormonal, creatine enhanced, so drink lots of water while using it. I'm a fan.

Customer Review: Try eating before taking it
Summary: 4 Stars

It's my third week of taking NO-Explode and I haven't felt any side affects, such as: anxiety, nausea, paranoia, mood swings, intestinal/digestive problems, or aggressiveness. I'm one to follow directions; however, I will admit, taking this product on an empty stomach can be overwhelming. The symptoms are the same as if I drank coffee on an empty stomach: nausea, upset stomach, and slightly light-headedness. My solution to this problem is if I digest NO-Explode by itself, I cut my intake by half (one scoop instead of two), or eat a light meal and then take the recommended amount (two scoops).
In the three week period I have been taking this product, I've felt an increase in strength, size, weight, and focus. For me, the best part of the product is the focus. Let me define the word according to my experiences: centering on the task at hand; it helps me tune everything and everyone that is around me out; I feel extremely motivated from one exercise to the next and tremendously eager for the next workout session. Most of the time when I leave the gym, I am left with a continuous surplus of energy. Usually, I have enough to go on a 3 mile run.

Customer Review: It Works!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just started P90X for the second time (first time I only did the first 30 days). I'm on week 2 right now, and just started using No-Xplode. One of the workouts that's done every other day, Ab Ripper X, consists of about 340 reps. Week 1 when I didn't use No-Xplode, I got maybe 225 of those reps done. Today I just did my first Ab Ripper X workout with No-Xplode, and I was able to do about 320 of the 340 reps, and not only do them but do them with better form because I wasn't as tired.

This was only day one using this stuff, but the numbers don't lie. This stuff works, and I'm looking forward to using it more in my workouts! It taste's good too (I got the Fruit Punch one).

Highly recommended if you're not too worried about the possible side effects. Please please please do your research before starting any supplements so you know exactly what you're getting into. Don't just do research on the seller's website, find all the pros and more importantly, find all the cons! Then weigh your options and make your choice. My choice was to begin the supplement usage and I don't plan on looking back because this stuff WORKS! Five stars!

Customer Review: Pros and Cons
Summary: 4 Stars

PROS:
Gives you a constant supply of energy during your workout. I recently started a total-body workout every other day and this definitely helps me get through it. Without this product, I would get tired a lot sooner into my workout. I would say that it keeps me going for an extra 30 mins or so until my body is out of energy.

As anything, this also some some...

CONS:

I am 5'9" and weigh 140 (ectomorph). I have been taking this consistently for the past 3 weeks (3-4x a week) and it has been keeping me awake at night. I generally take it at 5:30pm before I workout, but the problem is that it keeps me awake until midnight. I will lay in bed and toss and turn. I will also wake up at odd times during the night, unable to get a good nights rest. I never in my life thought I would have problems sleeping (cuz I sleep like a baby and through thunderstorms, etc), but with this product, sleep is difficult for me. I believe it is because of my small size. I can try reducing the amount I intake. Half-scoop maybe? If you have a choice, I would recommend taking this in the morning rather than evening.

Customer Review: This is an interesting product.
Summary: 4 Stars

Caveat: This is NOT a steroid, or a protein shake, or anything like that. The description is somewhat misleading; this product does NOT directly increase your muscle mass. What it does do: Give you energy, so you feel like working out/continuing to work out; Keeps your muscles from getting fatigued as fast, so you're able to do a more rigorous workout; and supplement your system with certain vitamins and minerals conducive to proper blood flow and muscle development (when taken in conjunction with a good workout).

That said, the instructions say not to eat beforehand. I consider that a bad idea. I know it helps absorption, but it also makes your stomach act up after a few hours. You really should not go without a balanced diet when using this. The other thing to keep in mind is that you should drink this roughly an hour before you start working out, to give your system a chance to absorb the stuff. Finally, after your workout is complete, make sure you rehydrate yourself.
