My friend got me into this product as he would make me some of his banana flavored syntha-6 before we went to the gym. The banana is amazing by the way, but as for this product it too is very tasty, tastes just like chocolate milk with no chalky feeling at all as I was expecting. I've only mixed it using the shaker bottle and it comes out perfect every time. If you were to just mix it with a spoon I'd imagine it to be pretty clumpy and gross, so be sure to have a shaker or even blender if you have the time. After you shake it up be sure to add ice, this product tastes 10x better ice cold. Also I recommend drinking some water before and after you drink this as it is never good to concentrate your kidneys with tons of pure protein supplement and other stuff in a short period of time without diluting as best you can. Added bonus try eating a banana while you are drinking this product, I noticed they just go together amazingly, sofa king tasty and healthy.Customer Review: Your Muscles Will Thank You

Most of the supplements and such you see at your local "vitamin store" are nothing more than high-priced snakeoil. They promise the world and all they do is drain your wallet. Syntha-6 on the other hand -- it promises protein with a great taste, and it delivers!
Muscles need protein -- that is a scientific fact. I've been working out for 6 months and realized about 3 months in I was lacking enough protein intake to build muscle. After looking around and reading reviews I decided to try Syntha-6 because it didn't promise the world; it simply promised a protein boost with a good taste. And my god did it deliver! It has become part of my daily routine and not only is it helping me repair and build muscle, but its also great for making you feel full and has helped me immensely cut down on late night snacking.
I recommend it 100% to anyone who is looking to add more protein to their diet.

I've heard about this one from other people, and I've been using different products for the past 15 years, from Met-Rx to Muscle Milk. Everything here and there has been mediocre, and some tasted good. I was looking for something with both fast proteins - whey, and slow for evening use and staying satiated - casein.
I actually bought an older brand protein right before this, something that i actually liked. But they changed the forumula, took out the aspartame (which is a good thing taking it out finally) - but it tasted like cr*p! A sort of buttered chalk dough with some chocolate mixed in.
That was it. I took the recommendations of many, that this and muscle milk, and ON are some of the better tasting proteins. I returned that other protein, and got this one in chocolate milkshake. And it tastes good - a sort of smooth neutral tasting chocolate, and I don't regret it.

I have desperately been searching for a protein shake that I could mix with water and that would still taste great. Well I have found it. BSN's shake is the best tasting water mixed protein shake I've ever tasted. It tastes just like chocolate milk. For the first time ever I actually have to force myself to not drink too many of these shakes. It does have 200 calories so I limit myself to 3 in a given day max but that is still 66 grams of high quality slow release protein. The shakes consist of a blend of 6 different types of protein including Ultrafiltered whey protein, Microfiltered whey protein, calcium caseinate, micellar alpha and beta caseins, milk protein isolate, and egg albumen. The faster absorbing whey and the other slower absorbing proteins ensure the shakes can be used either post workout or throughout the day for maximum benefit. I've tried at least a dozen different protein powders over the 19 years I've been weight training, and now that I've hit my mid-30s, I find that it takes more than just weight lifting+calories to gain or even maintain muscle mass. Within the past couple years or so I've had a difficult time meeting my protein needs without packing on pounds arund the middle.
THIS protein has helped change that for me. With regular whey proteins (this is a blend protein product; not pure whey, but also contains egg and milk), I can almost feel the unabsorbed protein converting to fat. Not so with Syntha 6. Particularly if taken shortly before bed, I wake in the morning feeling as though my muscles are fuller and stronger than before I went to bed.
Great stuff. Only reason I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 is it's a little pricey compared to many of the whey protein powders.
