Customer Review: Waste of money if you are using to try to conceive

This was supposed to be a Basal Thermometer helping to conceive, yet it only reads "97.8" instead of "97.86" which I've read is needed while charting and temping. It was a waste of money as now I have to find another one that reads more in depth temps...and why does this one take so long if it's not getting an exact temperature reading? And yes, the million beeps it needs to take your temp is very annoying, now I'm on the search for another thermometer.Customer Review: This is NOT a Basal thermometer!!!

I have to give this a 1 star because I ordered this to begin charting my cycles again. It does not say anywhere to what degree that this thermometor measure but I have bought BD BASAL thermometers before and had no issues. Got this in the mail and realized that this is useless for what I need. In order for me to be able to accurately chart my cycles I have to have a thermometer that goes to the 1/100th of a degree not a 1/10th like this one.Customer Review: BD Thermometer

I've used the BD thermometer for the past two months. It seems to work very well. It usually reads my temperature within a minute or two but occasionally will take longer. I've found the beeping helpful, as it lets me know that it is still working and also when it has finished. The backlight is helpful but does go off as you are taking your temperature. This is my only experience with a BD thermometer and it seems to be doing it's job.Customer Review: Simply does not tell correct temperature

I'll keep this review short, simple and to the point. The thermometer consistently reads my temperature (and my girlfriend's temperature) at 96 or 97 degrees. Either we're almost dead, or this thing doesn't work. It never registered normally, not even once. We each tried it a dozen times, both with the covers and without, and got the same result either way.
As for the reason for two stars instead of one: it is easy to use.

I bought this to chart my temps for tracking my cycle. Some people say the beeps are annoying but for me they were very helpful. When I stuck the thermometer in when I was half asleep, the beeps ensured me it was still on and working. My husband didn't even notice the beeps. I really like the memory feature too because I could go back and didn't have to remember the temp for charting. This is the only one I have used but I am satisfied.
