I bought this thermometer based on the Amazon reviews. After two weeks of daily use, I think it works perfectly. The beep is quiet enough that it doesn't wake my husband in the morning, and it's easy enough to use that I don't even really fully wake up -- I sort of blindly grope on the nightstand, find it, stick it under my tongue, push the button, and a few beeps later it's done. I can then push the button again later to see my last temp and write it down. Pushing the button doesn't clear the memory, only taking a new temperature does. This thermometer works well. It is easy to use and has a back-lit display for reading it in the dark. It beeps to tell you it is done. This is what we were looking for.
It has an easy user replaceable battery, and the button is very easy to press, but you aren't likely to accidentally press it as it has a nice case for it that snaps in place.
The only downside to it is it beeps every 4 seconds when taking a temperature, so that gets a bit annoying after a while, but at least you know it is working and not sleeping.

I was not a bit impressed with the accuracy of this thermometer. After using it for about 5-6 months, I haven't had a clear chart yet for ovulation because the temps are flat flat flat (and I know I ovulated at least one month because I ended up pregnant but later miscarried). The only parts I liked about this thermometer was the backlit display. The every 3 second beeps were ridiculous, and the temps took forever, which is why I think it didn't work well. All in all, This is not a product I would recommend to anyone DO NOT BUY....Customer Review: Sounds good ... until you hear it . .

The idea of beeping every 7 seconds may sound like a good idea. You really want to make sure you're keeping the thermometer in the right spot the whole time, right? But at 6 am, when you're partner is still trying to sleep, the incessant beeping is really quite annoying. If you get up later than your partner, or if your partner is an EXTREMELY heavy sleeper, this might be fine for you. My partner is a pretty heavy sleeper, but this still wakes him up. I'm going to get a different thermometer and donate this one to goodwill.Customer Review: The best one on the market

This basal thermometer is very easy to use, easy to clean w/hot water and very accurate. I used it for several things, but primarily for charting my temps for natural family planning and by charting I was also able to tell other things. I like the fact that it beeps when your temp is done.
Comfortable to place in mouth.
When my 1st one got old, I replaced it with a cheaper drugstore brand and it was aweful!!! Just too much going on. I retreated back to this one and will use it from now on.
