Customer Review: Great results...my Dr. is pleased

I started to take BENECOL last winter. My Doctor was pressing me to get on a cholesterol medication and I was very resistant to this. A friend had recommended BENECOL since her partner was taking this and had good results.....long story short.....my cholesterol dropped around 40 points and my Doctor was so amazed that she didn't even stress over my blood pressure (it always goes up in her office).....I did follow the other guidelines that were given to me and kept my cholesterol count to 300mg a day (and that is a lot of counting).....I love the chews....and I love not having to take a prescription drug for cholesterol. Now when I see the commericals on TV about cholesterol in your blood vessels...I clearly visualize that mine are healthy and clear. THANK YOU BENECOL SMART CHEWS!!!!

You: On A Diet: The Owner's Manual for Waist Management
If you are looking to stay healthy and reduce cholestrol, this product may be just what you need. Best of all, it can be used by those taking cholesterol medications and, if you don't want to use the meds (or can't), this might provide some help. They are tasty and full of plant statins, not medications.
I used them as directed but I don't think they'd work if you aren't also watching your diet and getting a minimum level of exercise - but perhaps they would. I work out 3 times a week (but not too intensely), watch my diet (but I'm not rigid, just common sense) and found these boosted the results I got.

Product is great! I take 2-chews in the morning & 2-chews after my last meal for the day and for approx. 2-months now. The chews have been working to reduce my high cholesterol and so far they are worth it. Benecol also makes the butter spread, but it is very expensive for one small tub of butter. I recommend the chews because you can have them anytime especially if you have a craving for something sweet. It's like chewing a caramel candy, but remember it is not a candy so do not take/treat the product like one or leave them out in the open especially if you have young kids. Take the chews/dosage as it is recommended by the manufacturer.

My experiment was a success!
I ate like a pig and took two Benecol chews a day and ate oatmeal intermittently. Unlike my experiment with Colest Off I made no attempt to be a vegetarian. The results were still promising and show that the Benecol Chews are a potent force in lowering Total Cholesterol.
My Total Cholesterol with no supplements and no diet change is a scary 287, with Colest Off and a partial vegetarian diet my total cholesterol is about 197 with a good ratio of HDL to LDL. The Benecol Chews reduced my total to an unimpressive 237, but considering that I ate high cholesterol foods this shows the potency of plant STANOLs.CholestOff 240 cplts

Buy this product. Tell your friends about it. Unfortunately J&J doesn't have a clue of how to market this great product, don't let it slip out of production. I am in club Benecol and haven't received anything. Spread the word, a safer way to lower your cholesterol. Word of mouth is about it, lets hope it works.
Don't expect miracles with Benecol, but if you are borderline, this is a great supplement in addition to diet and exercise. Take at least 2 per day. Expect ~10% lower total cholesterol in a month or two, some have reported more. Could be enough to keep you off the risky statins. However, some report using Benecol and Statins, but I can't vouch for the results. It would be good to hear reports of that combo.
