I bought this for my dad who has vascular dementia. The red digital lighting is no where near as clear as the picture depicts. After 3 months, lights started to burn out making it very difficult for my father to read -- only adding to my father's confusion. You don't realize how un-important the day and time is to an elderly person who has NO plans or commitments, but only a day or two a week. This was the best product for my grandmother to help her stay in tuned with "TIME". It hangs on her wall in the living room right over the phone. There I have a large calendar with special dates and times filled in so she can see what's happening as the month moves on. This has been the best thing we have bought for her, because she doesn't have to remember whether or not she crossed a day off the calendar. It's big enough that she can see it without her glasses. The leading zero needs to be suppressed for single digit hour readings. The AM and PM letters need to be illuminated. The standard/daylight time changes need to be done automatically. Maybe I'm being picky, but these items should be addressed for the price that is charged.Customer Review: BIG digital clock

Amazingly quick service. We bought this clock for my mother-in-law who has trouble remembering the day of the week. It was ordered on Tuesday PM and was delivered on Thursday!
If you don't want a BIG clock don't order this one. It's really large for home use. I would like to have found a smaller one but this was the only one we found with a clear alpha day(MON) and month(OCT) display.
Also, the package came with no paperwork whatsoever, no warranty information or instructions on how to set it. Fortunately it was fairly easy to figure out.
If you want a LARGE clock with clear simple display, this is a good choice. If you want something small and stylish, pick something else.

Bought this for my 89-year old Mother who has trouble remembering what day of the week it is. It is a bit large for me, but for her it's perfect.
