Customer Reviews of BioBrite Sunrise Clock Advanced Model with White Noise, PearlCustomer Review: Pricey but very good Summary: 4 Stars
Despite a relatively steep price tag for an alarm clock, this is a great product. If you're like me and hate waking up to the obnoxious screeching of an alarm clock then you'll appreciate this item. It gently wakes you up over a period of time as the light slowly gets brigher, and when the alarm does go off it starts as a soft chirp that gets louder and louder until you turn it off. It's highly configurable, so you can set how quickly or slowly it gets bright, whether it beeps or not, and has features for "sunset" and security (randomly turns on and off to simulate someone being home when you're not). Other than the price, the only other caveat is that it's probably not great for very deep sleepers. If you think you can sleep through a 60 watt buld being turned on in your face then this won't do much to get you up. For me, it makes for a much more gentle and relaxing way to wake up, and I find myself in a better mood when I get out of bed.
Customer Review: It's OK Summary: 3 Stars
PROs: I like the sundown feature; it actually works for me. Whether or not the sunup feature works, I'm not sure, because I usually have covered my head to avoid the bright light-funny. The white noise is helpful some nights but annoys me other nights.
CONs: This thing makes lots of buzzing noises, not sure if that is normal and the manufacturer has not responded to me about it. The clock face is way too bright, which is surprising if this manufacturer is supposed to understand how light affects sleep. I have to turn the clock face to the wall and use a different (less bright) clock so that I can see the time. You can't just turn off the light after you've gotten out of bed; you have to hold the button down to turn it off (no flick of a switch). It is somewhat complicated to program it the first time but after you get the hang of it, no problem, but don't let anyone else (who doesn't know how to program it) touch it.
Customer Review: Do Not Buy This Clock Summary: 1 Stars
This is a +$100 clock. Period. It doesn't do anything like "wake you up naturally." The thing has a 60 watt light incandescent, flame shaped bulb in it; that's it. If you think this will wake you up, try going in to your completely dark bedroom with a small lamp using a 60 watt bulb. Would this wake you up? Unless you're extra sensitive to light when you sleep, this product is completely ineffective and worthless. I think the idea waking up "naturally" to light is a fantastic one, but this product will not deliver those results. The only thing that wakes me up is the beeping. So instead of waking up to the radio in the dark with my old alarm clock ($15, by the way), I now wake up to annoying beeping in a dimly lit room (for +$100). Wow. That's money well spent. I'll be sending this pointless thing back to the company ASAP. Perhaps one of those clocks that allow you to plug in your own light source will do the job?

Customer Review: Great clock.... could be better. Summary: 4 Stars
While I do enjoy this product, I am not completely satisfied. The slow dimming and brightening light is a nice way to wake up in the morning. It does all functions described very well. My only complaint is that when the beep alarm goes off at your set time it is not loud enough to wake me. I do not get woken by the light alone and the sound just isn't enough. I have set a second alarm clock to the same time which has a loud beeper to compliment this clock. With both going off I get the best of both worlds. I will continue to use this clock for its light since it makes getting up before the sun rises much easier.
Also the white noise feature is a great touch if you are a person that likes to have fans or other noise to relax you and aid in falling asleep. I would suggest getting the white noise feature version over the non-white noise. It is well worth the small price difference.
