Yes, the instructions are easy to follow, and yes, the test is very accurate (assuming you can get a enough blood). UNFORTUNATELY, I couldn't get enough blood (despite warming hands, despite picking the thin-skinned side of my finger, despite squeezing) with that pathetic, one-shot lancet they put in. No, I'm not a retard - I've use similar kits other times. Problem with this is: you need 4 big drops, but the single lancet they provide is too small and one shot. Thus, they need to put in a 2nd or 3rd lancet. I ended up having to poke myself with a needle a couple times (which is much more painful than you think!) to get enough blood.Customer Review: Worked just as stated

I've wanted to know my blood type for a few years now and my doctors either kept telling me that it's not necessary to test for blood type or asked for $200. Donating my blood is not an option at the moment because I do not meet the weight requirements. So I ordered this and it came today. I tried this right away and everything worked exactly as it said it would. The directions are very straightforward. I had no problems at all and got more than enough blood for the test (and I have naturally cold hands!). I've wanted to know my blood type so badly and my clinic said that they wouldn't do it. So I bought this and was pretty satisfied with the price.
Everything comes included, with good directions. Although I'm such a weeny when it comes to needles, and I had to have someone else poke my finger for me, the lancet didn't really hurt. It bruised more later and was just more tender for a day afterwards.
My results were pretty obvious, A+. Pretty simple to read. Its nice to know now!
Overall, I was very satisfied with this.

The kit was easy to use although 2 test sheets would have been nicer since in my case I didn't get enough blood the first time. With what I had, the test results showed I was a "negative" but when I actually gave blood a few months later at a blood drive, it came back "positive". I will never know if not having enough blood on the test paper was the reason for the error or if it was the test itself. I rate it "fair". If you are of age, I recommend donating blood-it's for a good cause..and you will find out your blood type for free!!!!!
