I purchased two of this product, and the first kit was a disaster when my husband used it, his needle did not work and when i used my kit, I ran out of blood to finish, so my test was incomplete. I think the worse part of this kit is the fact that the needle is a one time use only, so if your blood clots halfway through like mine did, you are out of luck, unless you are into self mutilation which I am not. I recommend having a back up way to draw blood because these needles either don't work and they are only 1x use only.Customer Review: Worth getting!

I have always wanted to know my blood type, so I purchased this kit and tried it at home and am very satisfied. The directions included pictures so you interpret the results correctly. Watching the video at [...] clarifies proper use. You get your result in about 40 seconds. The only things that are negative are that only 1 lancet is included so you need to get enough blood the first time, and sqeezing a drop of blood from your finger into each of the 4 collection sticks takes a little work. ...It seems foolproof-But, in my case? It was a waste of money-After *carefully* preparing the lancet, and removing the cap it failed to deploy past the plastic guard-It never actually touched my finger, and can't be reset. A few painful jabs with a pin didn't do the trick, either! Ultimately? All I did was waste money on the kit and shipping-Regrettably? I actually had to shell out a few more dollars for *another.* Let's hope the lancet works on the new kit!Customer Review: Great Home Test

This test was very easy to use and decipher. My whole family did it together, and now we know which ones to call if we ever need a transfusion!
The lancet didn't hurt much at all, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. You do have to squeeze a little to get enough blood, but it was easy to do with a little patience. I would reccomend this product to anyone curious about there blood type.

The most difficult part with this is trying to get enough blood on the dip stick. And if you don't get enough blood, it is very hard to read. We had ordered 4 kits, one for each member of the family, and ended up using 2 kits on one person. I probably would not spend the money on these again, I would probably just go to the doctor and get it done.
