This. Stuff. WORKS. I had this heavy cough, like I wasn't coughing up anything, but I could tell that there was something that was hiding in my throat.........After the FIRST DOSE, I began to feel the mucus in my nose move and I started actually blowing stuff out of my nose for once. After a couple more doses, my cough became productive. I have been on this stuff for a few days now and I think that my congestion is just about taken care of. Now I still have a nagging cough, but it has become less and less frequent. I think that it will eventually go away whenever my body has finished clearing everything out. I had already been to the doctor, who gave me antibiotics and a bunch of tylenol-guaifenesin-phenylephrine tablets. The antibiotics helped, but the tablets helped only marginally and did not break up the congestion. Chestal did. I have never written a review on a product; I just got online to find out where to get more so that I'm prepared for the next time I'm sick (my boyfriend brought this product to me -- he also gave me this bug in the first place). If you're contemplating whether or not to try this, just go for it. You have nothing to lose. Plus it has no nasty taste to it! Remember to take it as directed -- I had to put it in my backpack so that I wouldn't skip any doses while in class all day long! Oh, yeah, and I'm in pharmacy school. WebMD and the Mayo Clinc.com or wherever else you look won't endorse homeopathic remedies because pharmaceutical companies don't make money off of people purchasing them. And just because there hasn't been a formal study on the use and effectiveness on the product does NOT mean that it doesn't work. Do your own research and find out what is safe and effective for you. TRY IT. That's all.
